I think it would have made more sense to make -HD 1.5 ReMIX- start in chronological order and contain Birth By Sleep, KH1, and Re:CoM, especially if they're gonna be doing a 2.5 ReMIX, which should include Days, KH2, and Re:Coded. Anyone else think this would have made more sense?

And I also wish that Days would have been remade as a game, I wouldn't have cared about waiting longer if they were doing that.

It would have been the right timeline order but the purpose of the hd remasters is to bring the games to one console so it's alright the way it is.

nah they are doing right.

Even though bbs is the first one in storyline and that would be the right timeline, bbs is more connected to KH2 and Coded that ever was with KH1

 

And Days being remade as a game would delay KH3 even moreee. No firetrucking way i want that.

Don't try to make sense of it. If think of it 1.5 is in between 1 and 2. So it doesn't belong there either.

It would have spoiled the Hell out of KH2.

 

Chronologically it makes sense but order wise, not really.

They wanted to make Days a playable game but it would've been delayed a year and Nomura wants to keep his promise of 1 KH game a year which seems to have to end after KH 2.5 Remix cause it takes at least 2 years to make a decent game

Well, considering BBS will most likely be playable, that would give the bundle 3 games in one.  However, we don't know if they'll do a movie for Coded, but if they do then the 2.5 would have one game and two movies.  It would be too unbalanced to be sensible marketing wise.

 

I'm kind of disappointed they're not going to do anything about BBSFM's Secret Ending .  Here they have introduced having KH cutscenes as a movie.  They couldn't make the game the secret movie hinted at for various reasons.  They have the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the HD remasters and tell the story Nomura wanted to tell with another cutscene movie.  But, oh well.

No. KH1 and CoM have no references or allusions to BbS at whatsoever. People who've never players the games before would be like "Why is there no mention of those other three guys?". The purpose of these HD collections is not just to bring the series on to one console but also to allow new players to experience the series before the next big title. Doing it this way ensures a better understanding of the story in those new to the series.

Im happy with how the remix is now. I mean since BBS was on a PS system, it wouldv'e been a game too, and thus KH 1.5 would have 3 games, then KH 2.5 would have 1 game, 2 movies. Too unbalanced, like Oishii said.

I wouldn't have my precious Days movie, then. But maybe they'd take their time to actually remake it.

The RE:COM and Days story lines overlap so it makes sense that days would be packaged with it. Also, I agree with the other reasons for not BBS.

I just hope that all three games are actually the games. I too could care less about just the cut scenes from Days.

Their grouping makes sense for both story reasons and content reasons. Two playable games for the first remix, two (likely) playable games for the second, one collection of cutscenes for each. Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days compliment each other, just as Birth By Sleep explains the allusions from KHII FM. Grouping them chronologically is unnecessary, and in my opinion, a poorer way of organizing these collections.

BBS might chronologically be a prequel... but by no means should it be played before KH1 or KH2 FM. BBS sets stuff up, but it only makes sense if you know beforehand WHAT its setting up.

 

I consider BBS as more of a flashback then a prequel. By no means should it have been in 1.5. Playing BBS after KH1-2 and before playing coded and 3D is what's right.

I think it should have included KH2.

The reason they didnt do that is because BBS doesnt need a remake right away it only came out a couple years ago

Maybe there will be a 2.9 collection of sorts... with BBS Volume 2 and a re: Dream Drop Distance. Because if DDD doesn't materialize on 2.5, that puts it in the same group as Vol. 2, games that seem obvious based on logic/a freaking preview. Who knows.

It would be a nice chance for Nomura to give us BBSV2's story if there was such a collection. Maybe a leading up to kh3 collection since BBSV2 seems to have some pretty important stuff in it and 3D leads up to it. I don't think it would be called 2.9 but it could definitely happen and would be great to finally see BBSV2's story.

QTE's. The second screen's functions could easily be mapped to button presses. Besides, BBS would need to be altered too, The multiplayer it features isn't designed for online play... They'll probably just get rid of that, though The amount of work required to update BBS would be the same as 3D, since BBS is a larger game, has lower res-graphics etc. And why are they including Coded? It has absolutely no relevance to the story

 

Yeah, Coded doesn't. The only thing the game was created for was giving a Legit reason to remind Mickey to have Sora and Riku become Masters, stop Xehanort, and save the BBS trio.

 

Total lie. BBS does have online, there are even videos of it. There is also the fact that PSP games are extremely easy to port to PS3. Its almost like they were built to be ported. The perfect example is Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker. Its a masterful PSP to PS3 port and is only hindered by blurry textures but that doesn't matter because Peace Walker didn't look that good normally. BBS actually does look good, better then KH2 at times.

Irrelevant. Not every KH fan owns a 3DS (I don't) but I'd bet most of them own a Playstation.

 

Also, it didn't stop Capcom from releasing their 3DS game RE Revelations on PS3/Xbox360 (and standalone, to boot!)...

 

It doesn't matter that the title is recent and that the 3DS is not a dead platform...the market for a console port is still there.

I still think that KH3D is gonna be released in some form. Possibly they'll make it a standalone release as well...who knows. I kinda had the feeling it'd be a little to utopian to have *four* titles in one collection...

 

Im pretty sure most dedicated KH fans bought a 3DS when KH 3D came out.

Kingdom Heart 2 Final Mix and Birth by Sleep Final Mix are gonna be games and Re:Coded is just going to be a bunch of cutscenes. Which is weird because how Coded barely had a story...  

 

This^ That is another one of the reasons why Coded has and always be the only KH game i hate. I hated the gameplay(I have no idea why, since its identical to KH 1's battle system and i loved KH 1), story, and the worlds and maps and fights.

 Re:Coded really just felt like a really horribly made fan made game of KH, and not a real part of the series.
