I actually got introduced to Pokemon through Super Smash Bros on the N64. I saw Pikachu,Jigglypuff  and the Saffron city stage and I wondered from where did they come. Then The anime started airing on one of the channels and I couldn't stop watching,I was waiting eagerly for every episode to come on 3:00 in the morning, and after almost 15 episodes of the anime I bought Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Yellow and Pokemon Red.....and then my Pokemaniac career began.

I watched the cartoon as a kid.

My older brother gave me Gold and Silver and his Game Boy Colour.

Well my Pokemon journey began somewhere when i was seven. My older brother got this sexy new gbc of his and walked into the room yelling "GO GET IT" (or something to that)

So as a kid i got so freaking jealous i basically had to fall on him twice to get my hands on his Pokemon Gold. At first, all i saw was colored paper-like monsters basically popping out randomly with nice music. So all i did was smash buttons. My brother got really pissed, he had to sit and teach how to play through. And believe it or not, after a few months, he mailed me his Pokemon Gold, erased his save file, good as new, he said I was really into it.

And then I became the very best, like no one ever was.

BEST. BROTHER. EVER.

It was my 8th Birthday and I got Pokemon Yellow and this gameboy Posted Image since then I have been on a quest to catch them all

I remember watching the show when I was a kid.

Me and my sister used to collect some Pokémon stuff, like this:

My parents later gave me a GBC, and my cousin gave me a Pokémon Silver cartridge.

Since then, I never stopped playing :P

I actually collected hundreds and hundreds of those Pokemon Tazos,it was offered in Layz Potato chips in my country and you have no idea how many layz packs I bought.

When I was in first grade, my two sisters and I each got a game boy color plus a game for our birthdays, I got the red one and from then onwards I'd always chose red for anything. I don't remember why we got the pokemon games the. I only remember that we watched the anime after that and got training cards and all that stuff.

The start of our gaming life.

I remember getting the Lugia and the Cyndaquil Tazos.

I was so happy back then xD

And I did get the 150 Pokémons cards :P They're in one of my room's closets.

Too bad I never got Mew in the Tazos :/

I was born the same year it came out, and was immediately introduced to it thanks to my Aunts (Who were teens at the time), and I began watching the show shortly after, and getting to play the original fire red.

Of course, my love never stopped there...I'm still into it to this day. xD

MY FRIEND TOLD ME ABOUT IT

I saw the Series too when it first aired in germany... One of the things I remember clearly from my childhood. It was somewhere around the begin of September 1999

i was born into a family with siblings that were diehard Pokemon fans.

The show inspired me to get the game and I was given FireRed for my 6th birthday. I got Emerald after my tonsellectomy a year or two later and I fell in love with the story aspect of the games.

I watched the anime shortly after it began, and started collecting the trading cards both from a young age. I eventually got Silver Version a few years later, which remains my favorite Pokemon game after all these years.

Damn I can't even remember how I got into it but I think it was mainly because of the TV series I randomly started to see on Cartoon Network. Then came Pokemon gameboy to me, don't exactly remember how I got them because I know for sure that I didn't asked for it. I think it were my cousins who introduced the Gameboy to me and that's how I got it.

My sister came home with a Staryu card and thats all I can remember because I have spent my whole life with Pokemon.

I watched the show a lot xD. Didn't have cable (CN, DIsney, Nick)so I watched 4Kids

and then one day my mom brought home Pokemon Emerald

Aaandd yeah :D.

Watching Pokemon on Kids WB. Then came the time my sister found Yellow version and gave it to me. From there, I've gotten hooked up to the series, mostly game-wise.

Then came competitive battling... I'll leave that story for another time.
