i still love my markers, they're what make me cool, they're my source of youth

Brother I felt cool with my beyblade and my gameboy in my pocket.

What's worse is that kids get BORED with their iWhatevers and their Nintendon'ts. It's like... how? How is it possible to become bored with this device that is just a feat of human engineering? HOW?

When I was a kid, I NEVER got bored. And that was without cutting edge technology.

they're was no Storage limit for a Marker and you don't have to charge it all the time

Well to be fair they did run out of ink.

To be fair as technology evolves, the generation of kids adapts to what they have now. To be fair if we were 9 in this generation we would want all these cool gadgets, but back then technology was sparce in terms of gadgets.

We had Nintendos and PlayStations.

We had Nintendos and PlayStations.

They were more refined to home usage then out and about, what I'm saying is that kids are gonna play with what they have access too, the reason why we didn't is because we didn't have access to them. And luckily my little sister still uses markers and stuff, it's just we have more access to more things now and kids are gonna use that.

when i was nine i was playing my ps2. and i still have it. and in the future instead of nine year olds say: all these toddlers

TRYING SO HARD TO LIKE THIS (quota) this is soooooo true, kid beside my house has a lap top and shes 5 lol

Brother I felt cool with my beyblade and my gameboy in my pocket.

Me too :)

When I was 9 I was always excited to go to my babysitters house, because they had gameboys, an NES, a sega console, and a yobo.

I also loved to draw at my house all the time, and I just got a 3ds. (which I NEVER get bored with)

What really annoys me are the rich parents who put video games and other expensive electronics into Easter baskets and stockings. Then these kids will go to school and brag about what they got. The other kids will come home telling their parents how Santa/Easter bunny got so-and-so better stuff. It creates a burden on other parents who can't afford that or just won't for ethic reasons. I miss the days where candy was enough to make a kid happy.

The times are a changing. and I don't like it one bit

My 7-year old niece has a tablet for drawing O.o

Because paper and crayons/markers are too old-fashioned, right? -_-

The new generations of kids... Just don't know what fun used to be all about.

Well to be fair they did run out of ink.

well yeah true lol xD, but those things went on for a goood long time

Of course you are not the only one.

Back a time a ago there was the sun was bright on our backs,

a gameboy with pokemon in our pockets,

beyblades spinning in the play ground arenas,

dragonball z and yugioh cards being traded in the library,

digibattles hid from the teacher in the desks,

Metabot battles held during inside recess

and Sonic and Mega Man discussions filled the air.

Oh so the times fly.
