Now I love KH more than I love Dracozombie *cough* and I love the Xehanort saga. It's amazing, one of the best stories out there, has given me all kinds of feels and damn it all, I wouldn't be here without it. But enough of all at, let's gaze into the future and reflect some along the way too:
First of all gameplay. Gameplay always improves over time so naturally the next saga will have better gameplay. Not much to say here.
Story: Throughout the KH series there have been many changes to the story before during and after development. Some nicely placed and improve the story and some which just contradict previous events and make us go "Nomura...you dun goofed" (Donald y u no remember Yen Sid's tower? ;_. From the first game where Ansem was obviously just tossed in for complexity (they tried to work round this by adding him at the beginning to seem foreshadowy but yeah) to the most recent game where time travel (to some) was plucked straight out of Nomura's ass, the story was made up as they went along and it shows. Nomura's announced a new saga, the first game of which we won't see for years, so this time round it's likely we'll get a more coherent story that's been better planned out.
On top of that unless Final Fantasy XVI or XVII will hold up KH development to this extent again, Nomura won't have to add more side/bridge games than actual numbered titles nor will he have to adhere to/continue with a once a year promise that made some of the portable games suffer.
Content: New console generation breeds more room for more content. Now we can find that one extra dalmatian from the sequel
Yeah...that's it. It's a bit long, sorry, but if you read it then thank you!
Look! Pretty purple!
