Is it weird for me liking to play more as female character than males?

Posted

So... I'm a guy and I always prefered to play as a Female character over a male character.

Some people say it's because the person is gay, wishies to become a female, rarely sees a woman, etc... etc...

I also liek to play as male character, but I rather prefer to play as a female because wel... they're more kind, agile and fast than male character in majority of games. My main character on Online games are always female and on the RPG chars which we can create our own character, I always create a female.

I like to play as Aqua on BBS, but Ventus is the character who's stronger. (also because I made Aqua stronger on the Final Episode and when I discovered that the MF couldn't be fought, I changed to her old save.)

On fighting games... I rather pick a female character... like Alisa from Tekken and etc...

Is this strange... or anything?

No?

I mean, I do it all the time if I have the option except when it's like Pokemon or something. lol

nope. I'm in the same boat. I prefer to play as girls in most cases. I'd rather watch a girl's butt on screen than a guy's. No, in all seriousness, I don't know why I do, but I never thought it weird.

Nah, I can be the same way. Male characters tend to have super generalized personalities at times, and the females are usually either more agile or better with magic, two of my favorite fighting styles, as well as being more interesting personality-wise to me. :/ I hate some of the male designs for the Pokemon games too, like the new one from X/Y, ugh.

Fool. I alays feel like I'm watching the character more than being the character. So if I'm going to be looking at a character for a long time, I'd prefer looking at a girl.

Luckily designs can be changed.

I do it on occasion, and I don't see a problem with it. You're still a person either way, so why does it matter what gender you chose?

Yeah, but I haven't liked any of the other designs shown so far. xD I think I'm choosing the female in X/Y this time, I like her base design more, and we don't know how much it will cost to get new clothes for the characters.

No, same way it's not strange for a chick to choose to be a dude in a game

No,it's not weird

I like playing with female characters for a change

sometimes I choose Daisy in Mario Kart or Mario Party

And in My first playthrough of Pokemon Soul Silver I chose the female trainer (Lyra)

And in Tekken: Lili and Asuka were one of my mains

And Sakura is my main in Street Fighter 4

I am exactly like you! I'm not gay, I like playing as female character too. Of course I play as males too. It depends. I think it's normal.

That's not weird at all! You should play as who ever you want and not worry what others have to say.

I play as male characters all the time...but if a female character is cool enough, I'll play as her.

Nope, I always play as males on MMORPGs.

a lot of people like to play as female characters in video games, it doesnt have to mean you want to be a woman. Sure their might be some psychological factor to it, but it will only become a self-fulfilling prophecy if you ruminate over it. So dont worry and enjoy the game

No not really, I tend to choose female characters as well in RPG/or Fighting games, because they're just badass. Plus in most RPG/MMO they tend to make the Male characters way to buff.

No, think of it this way: Would you stare at a girls ass or a mans ass? Also, I find tough muscular characters too common. It's time for a change of pace, they should add more female MC's in the future. It can bring a new perspective to males and possibly allow to get in touch with more controversial topics.

After a decade or more of playing as male characters in like, every frikkin video game, I lean towards females in almost everything. Like GTA Online, Skyrim, Mass Effect, etc.

PlI'm a guy every waking moment. Even straight guys could use a change of pace :/

Not really.

I usually end up playing as the chicks because they have more variety, such as moves, techniques, etc. There could also be times where it's not only that, but I end up being better with female characters, such as Peach in SSB. (I find it both in this case.) Blaze in Sonic Rush+Adventure was my preferred character because she was a little more fun to use than Sonic. Also like some have said before, I've been playing males since I was little, so it gets boring after a while. Not to mention (for me at least), male characters are lacking in design or too repetitive/similar, again on the variety part. (Looking at you Pokemon)

Girls usually look cuter than males, so naturally people will wanna play as them more. xD Unless they're like really little lol

Playing as Aqua is understandable. Playing as any other female is not.

Nothing wrong with it. Just unless you are one of those guys that do it because you are a pervert.

Well that's your own personal preference but good luck with people hitting on you.
