I'm not a Namine' Hater.....( Even Though I prefer Xion) I just think she really brought nothing to the series except being the carrier of Sora's Memories. I actually do like her to some extent, I think she's more important than Kairi. What do you guys Think?  Do you like/ love or Dislike/ despise Namine? Also, do you think she brought anything to the series aside from being a "witch"?

Agreed......it's funny every time you say "FOOL!"

She's not hard to look at....for a video game character.

I'm not  going based off her appearance. Because if I was, this topic would not have been uploaded....LOL.

However.......

I always thought she wasn't completely important, but after playing Re:Chain of Memories lately and actually beating it this week I've developed a fondness towards her and I love her innocent character. I also feel very bad for her. She has a tragic story.

I love Namine and totally find her important to the story. She's a lot more important than Xion, that's for sure.

If they do that in KH3, then I'll change my opinion......

I like Namine. She's an interesting character with a pretty sad story, and I wouldn't mind her getting some decent screentime in KH3. Would be cool to see what she's like when she's not being manipulated by Org. XIII or tasked with restoring Sora's memories.

I don't really care about Namine

I love Naminé, she's a very soft character that I like more then Xion. I mean, people say Xion is useless, so this forum is a surprise. I can't exactly think of how she's important to the story right now, though. If I think of something, I'll be sure to right it.

I like her.She will most likely return in KH3 with some screen time. I want her , Sora , Roxas, and Ventus team up for something that would be cool.

Maybe they will teach her how to use her keyblade.

I think she's more important than Kairi.

You just kicked a hornet's nest... Well not really.

On topic: I love Kairi, so by extension I love Namine. Still traumatized by her reaction to Marluxia (I think) when he grabbed her shoulder. The implications man o.O

I adore Namine; Namine is one of my favourite characters in the series, I draw her a lot and stuff

However...

Her existence pisses me off sometimes, like when people say she's better than kairi and should usurp her position even though kairi was the original main female character in the first game well before Namine. It also makes little sense to me since they are the same person. I also get ticked when she gets close to Sora. I don't even know know if that's because I think namine should be with someone else, because kairi being left behind (Especially for her nobody) puts a bad taste in my mouth, or for something else(Maybe because I've been waiting years for sokai to happen, idk xD)

But I don't hate namine. Like I just said she's one of my favorites, so why is it that she occasionally makes me so mad?

Maybe, it's because I've had bad experiences with blondes, or because kairi feels like a friend to me, so maybe subconsciously I want to protect my friend like I always do. But kairi is a character so that's nonsensical

Then again, I have a mental illness, so I shouldn't be surprised if that were the case and I'm really that lonely lmao

I love Namine, I want her back.....I miss her! I consider her as one my waifu's.I just don't show it anymore since I'm "Lie Ren", and not Neos anymore so you don't see my profile all Namine'd out, but Javelin can tell you all about it before xD

who doesnt care bout namine-chan shes too nice to be hated ,Nya! :3

I'm sorry but I don't care about her and find her minuscule when compared to Sora, Roxas, and Riku.

I really like Namine. I think Kairi is more important than her but she is still very important in my opinion. :)

Namine is one of my favorities too and like many have said here she DOES have something important to do with the story too (Sora's memories, helping people etc). Sure, she isn't as necessary for the plot as Sora or Riku or Aqua or some others but I don't think that's a bad thing at all. Not everyone can be one of the main characters, we need some others too! And ofcourse, there wouldn't really be COM without her.

Also, I think Namine brings some depth into the story. Like, there's Sora, Riku and Kairi, Axel, Roxas and Xion, Ven, Terra and Aqua, and some other really thick friendships in the games but Namine doesn't have one sigle friend and I think that's really sad.

I tried to quote Amelia Luscombe's post but for some reason I wasn't able to... Anyway, I just wanted to say that I don't think Kairi and Namine are the same person. Firstly, Namine wasn't just Kairi's nobody but also Sora's, and secondly, she has a a whole different life from Kairi's and I think she's really different as a person. In fact, I think they're even almost opposites of each others in some things and actually I find that quite interesting.

Like, I think Kairi is really brave and strong and she's ready to act in order to get what she wants and I haven't often seen her insecure or afraid. Namine on the other hand is insecure and weak. It takes everything she has to act against the organization in COM and I don't think she wuold have done anything in the end if Axel hadn't especially stated that she has an oppoturnity to escape. Also, Kairi's and Namine's situations are completely different: Kairi has Sora and Riku, she had her grandmother when she was little and it seems like the Destiny Islands were a nice place to grow up. And then Namine his first with the organization, then with Diz and the only one who really ever cared for her and that was all just because of the fake memories, and then he forgot too.

TL;DR: She's an important character, has an insecure personality (Fluttershy) and a main factor of KH:CoM.
