Why do girls get mad when you see them with nothing but their bra and underwear on, but when they go to the beach, women have nothing on but a bikini ?

There is a time and place for things.

Fool. Women are usually prepared to be seen in a bikini. They shave and all that stuff. They're ready. Usually if you are in a position where you are looking at a girl with just underwear and bra, they weren't ready.

These "question for the ladies" things always come off as sexist and I'm actually kind of annoyed by it at this point 

 

There's no "loophole in the female logic", and the way you phrased it sounded really dang sexist. Guys don't mind being seen in speedos at the beach, but imagine if you caught a boy with nothing but his underwear on--he'd be annoyed and embarrassed, right? People see it as an invasion of privacy, and if you see someone like that and they don't like it, you've obviously caught them off guard. 

 

edit: also I'd say the majority of women I see aren't wearing bikinis at the beach anyway???

I am asking this because I find it to be a interesting/funny question.

 

but every guy I know won't get mad if somebody  of the opposite sex ( not related to him)  walked in on him when he is changing his shirt ( he will more then likely laugh it off), but if it was a girl, she might attempt to kill the guy lol. Even through she is wearing the same pieces of clothing that she would wear at the beach.

 

For example if a girl walked into a locker room full of guys with their shirts off. No guy is going to throw a fit over seeing them with their shirts off.

 

But if it was a another way around and a guy walks into the girl's locker room. That guy will get crucified. Despite the fact that the girls/women would be wearing pretty much the same thing they would wear at the beach.

People, both boys and girls, are probably okay wearing swim equipment at a beach because they're surrounded by other people who are. Saying that "No guy will throw a fit" over girls seeing them shirtless or in their underwear is quite the generalization. I'm a guy, and I feel nervous in public without wearing a shirt, even if it's swimming while surrounded by other people in swim equipment. It's a personal matter, not "All guys are okay with it, all girls hate it."

If I saw you in a speedo at the beach it would be expected.

If I saw you in a speedo at your house when you could be wearing clothes, and you don't want to be seen, you would be embarrassed.

 

Same concept, both male and females deal with this.

There are a lot of guys who are insecure about their body same where there are girls who are insecure about their body.

And no duh, if you were peeking inside without them noticing that would be creepy as heck. So obviously they are going to be pissed.

 

Think of it of you showering and there is some person watching you shower without you noticing, it is creepy.

You literally just admitted to illegally invading women's privacy for your own selfishness and if I were in your ROTC program I'd have reported you in half a second to my commanding officer and the school cop. The reason why girls don't like being seen in their underwear as opposed to, say, bikinis, is all about privacy. One is a conscious decision to be seen in public in, and the other is not, simple as that. It's the same as if a guy wears a bathing suit or a speedo out on the beach, and gets upset for someone looking at him in his underwear. One is a conscious decision to wear out in public, and the other is private. Simple as that.

 

In this post in particular, you are generalizing both men AND women, saying all men are okay with people looking at them while they're changing, and all girls aren't. Some people may be okay with that, but a good majority for ANY gender aren't comfortable with people seeing them in their undergarments unless it's something they allow.

 

And finally, boasting about trying to peek at women getting changed, whether you're serious or joking, is not cool, and NOT something to boast about.

I don't think you know what a double standard is. It is completely a privacy issue: as Godot stated, if a woman is wearing a bikini, she is consenting to show off her body. If she's wearing her undergarments, you've caught her off guard and, whether intentional or not, she has not consented to let you see her body and therefore a person has every right to be pissed if you invade that privacy.

Let me pin point each and every statement.

 

1)  There are no double standards, this is privacy. I need privacy because I am insecure about myself, same goes for a lot of people both male and female. Everyone is insecure in one way, and this is one of them.

 

2) IF this was an accident, you wouldn't be laughing about it. It is rude, staring into the girls locker room, like staring at anyone who is changing WITHOUT their consent is wrong.

 

3) They can take their sweet time, this has nothing to do with double standards NOR privacy matters.

This is literally in no way about double standards. One is something women wear in public, another is not, and is something they don't intend for people to see unless they LET someone see them. It's not double standards, it's privacy.

 

And regardless of the circumstances, you still looked at them while they were changing, when they obviously didn't consent for you to look at them. This isn't a double standard either. If a girl were to peak in on a bunch of guys getting changed, that is NO more okay than if it would be the other way around. Just because a bunch of people around you joke about it, doesn't make it okay.

 A double standard would be if the girls burst in on the guys changing and said it's no big deal but get pissed when it's done to them . Really if a person chooses to expose some skin by choice it's not the same thing as being exposed without consent .Everyone is different when it comes to being ok with showing skin male or female alike . Matter of fact , my hubby hates showing skin but I am fine showing mine .It's not a gender issue .

I walk around in my underwear all the time guys don't really find it that embarrassing, well at least i don't anyways I do understand that the way the question was asked sounded pretty sexist though, If someone caught me with my underwear on so be it, most people have seen me in them anyways but then on the other side I'd be embarrassed about other stuff!!! I'm just a confident person in that aspect, and I know that there are women who are the same way don't say it like everybody gets embarrassed in their underwear everybody's different remember that

you could have just posted the meme and it would have been a funny joke but this kind of makes it seem a little sexist, just remember not to try and offend anyone when you post stuff also it depends on who it is ok, some girls would never wear a bikini ever and others dont see why every girl doesn't wear them, it's all about the confidence levels of each person specifically. I know that i could walk around in my underwear in a public street and i wouldn't care but my gf wouldn't be caught in a bikini if the world was ending but she's beautiful she just finds it inappropriate and that's alright because it's part of who she is and that's what I like about her

Double standards a set of principles that allows a greater amount of freedom for one person or group for another. Now The guys never complained or made a big deal about it. you know what message that is sending? it is ok for you do  it. We could throw in the whole privacy argument but we didn't. Now what message is that sending?

No guy from the 4 years I was in high school, complained about girls invading their privacy while changing no guy. maybe it happen to you guys but this always bugged me for a while. I can't even remember one instance when a guy in weight training, or team sports or in JROTC or in Dance complain about their privacy being abused by women. you guys are not looking at the bigger picture. instead of getting mad at me, look back to my  question, girls usually have the same clothing they use for the beach as they do for their undergarments, covering up the same parts of their body a bikini would. what I am trying to say is that it is pretty much the same thing and why do females get mad when it is the same freaking pieces of clothing as a bikini ( yes the privacy is a big deal also).

 

Nobody takes a guy serious if a girl is invading his privacy, but the dude would more then likely go to jail if he invades a girls privacy
