I'm completely, entirely, absolutely fed up with people constantly bugging me about my relationship status. Ever since I got into middle school years ago, people have been bugging me about how I've never had a girlfriend in my life. It's becoming one of the most frustrating things I have to deal with these days, just because no one ever lets up. So I've never had a girlfriend. Is it really that much of a surprise that people have to question me about it? You'd think people would be able to tell with one glance that I'm the kind of guy who sucks when it comes to relationships. It's even more annoying when people use it as an insult. How the heck does that make me less of a human being just because I've never asked a girl out before? Just because I've never had one doesn't mean that I'm not INTERESTED in having one, I'd just rather wait for the perfect girl instead of have to go out with 20 different girls and have to deal with the drama crap that comes with that. I'm seriously sick of it, I don't even want to deal with jokes about it.

 

Sorry about the rant, I just needed to get it out...

Never dated either and I'm perfectly fine with it. It's really stupid how people think that being single or 'Forever Alone' is terrible when it really isn't. 

Dating is something you do when you're ready.

I know plenty of guys who haven't had a girlfriend (or, their definition is someone they dated for a wee bit but it was strictly PG and not an "intimate" relationship, or in some cases they dated for a week, saw each other twice (the day they met, the day they broke up).  Also know plenty of guys who are older than me and still virgins even though they had girlfriends.  It's not where near abnormal.  

 

I prefer your mindset.  I don't see a point in wasting my time with someone for the sake of being "in a relationship" when I know I'm not fully invested in it, why bother.

It's sad how many people nowadays see dating as something you should be a part of while you're a teenager, and if you don't, something's wrong. I personally believe in courting, (only going out with someone if you're considering marrying them) for a multitude of reasons, one of which is that I've seen how much unnecessary heartbreak it causes, especially with people still in junior high and high school. I wish that people would stop and think about their actions, and consider whether or not what they're doing is a good idea, regardless of whether it's "fun" or not.

Honestly, the way I see it, you're taking the right road. Wait until the perfect girl comes. You're doing it right. Just ignore all those other people, and follow what you're doing.

Who cares about what others think? You can be in a relationship whenever you'd feel ready.

I've never dated or had a legit relationship either and I'm fine with it : / People need to realize sometimes the perfect one may take time to find. Don't let those kinds of things bother you, you've got plenty of time. Who cares what they say? Do what you feel comfortable with and you'll be fine.

From m personal experience if you focus on your craft or whatever makes you you then eventually that right girl will come along. I wish you best of luck while taking this path

Anyway, there's really no reason for anyone to be bugging you about that. I mean you think people would actually admire more the people who didn't date? It's the kids dating who have so much drama that their grades drop, their weekends are full of worrying about someone else, sometimes they run away together. From a parental perspective, I'd assume you'd rather that a kid didn't date until they were out of high school and that whole we're-all-socially-awkward-and-hate-school phase. When the time comes, you'll find someone, and imo it's probably better that you're waiting and can focus on yourself right now rather than worrying about someone else too.

No, it's fine. ._. Like I said, I've never even asked anyone out, so there aren't any bad memories to be had. It's just I kinda snapped today, just really weird timing.

 

But yeah, it's way too much to deal with a relationship anyway. There are some that work out, but for the most part, it all falls to pieces eventually anyway. At least when they start earlier on, that is.

I plan on dating later this year, but nothing major: I can't see myself getting into a serious relationship with a guy or girl right now. 

I have a dream that one day I will die alone and without  relationships.

I don't see why people make such a big deal over having a boyfriend or girlfriend. If you are alone, ITS FINE.
