I love this rumours. Unfortunately,Nomura already confirmed that sora will be the main star until the end.

But let these rumours spread. Its always fun.

Thankfully he'll still be the main character after KH3, only main character ever to get my highest respect.

The only things we know about Kingdom Hearts 3 is that it is in development, it will feature Keyblade transformations, Some new ways to fight, and that you will play as Sora, aka next to nothing, yeah what this guy said is a lie Nomura even said so himself that Sora will keep being the main protagonist for future Kingdom Hearts games.  There is no need to fear our spiky haired hero will still be saving worlds for years to come.

I'm staying true to the theory that Sora will always be the main character.

I honestly believe that's reading too far into it. Birth By Sleep and Days never focused on Sora but they did affect who he is as a character now. A title like that may be possible again, however, Sora will not stop being the main character we'll play as after KH3. I'm 100% sure that Sora will be in our control during the first game in the next saga.

That's ONLY because it was a handheld game. Sora will ALWAYS be the main playable character for the console games.

 

But yeah, for future HANDHELD KH games, he might not be. There could be a game dedicated to Kairi, for example.
