As long as I can clearly make out what's happening on the screen, I really don't care about resolution.

._. Thanks for posting the poll, I suppose.

As long as it looks good enough for the eye,I don't care about dem 1080 pees and I won't consider games shit just because they're not 1080 pees

I won't risk not trying some great games just because they're not dem 1080 pees

You're welcome. It had been almost two days since one was posted.

Not really. But I know how much resolution matters to you, Mr. 96 :P

Well resolution always is important. I don't care about 1444p though.

There's a 1444p?

If it has good resolution but is a crappy game is it still a crappy game?

Not really no.

Should it be?

Well, I look for story first then gameplay but, unless it was game I've previously played and loved, I can't seem to get very far if the graphics are outdated.
one reason why I never really got into FFVII even thought I have both the PSP/VIta and PS3 versions.

In other words, I will buy a game if I like the story, but if the graphics don't appeal to me, I may not actually play it. Which sucks because today's games, (well the kind I'm in to anyway, JRPGs,  Fantasy Action/ Fantasy Adventure etc) seem to sacrifice storytelling for graphics when I need both to truly enjoy a game.

Yeah, for PC games. YouTube has it as an available resolution too.

Good resolution is always a plus, but I'm always more interested in incredible plot and memorable characters.  Oh, and excellent gameplay, of course.  Good graphics are awesome, but I can live without if the game's good enough.

Resolution is extremely important to me.

No, just the story and characters.

Dont mind the resolution at all besides if you play at full screen mostly the image gets really strech and looks bad :P

So i play acording to is native window but must be of more 640, 480 atleast.

If it has good resolution but is a crappy game is it still a crappy game?

At this rate Ride to Hell might be considered good because it's 1080 pies even though the game is shit

Since I spent most of my childhood playing the "old school" games, then no, I do not care about resolution.

I'm only slightly sad that nowadays the developers prefer graphics instead of gameplay or a good story and the current generation of gamers are more focused on "pretty" graphics rather than a good game, but that's only my personal opinion.

Resolution is nothing but presentation, and that only goes so far.  It's hardly the first thing I look for in a video game.

PS2 resolution > HD

while it is a factor to take into consideration, it is not the most important aspect of a game. It is not even in the top five most important thing a game could have.

PS2 resolution > HD

640 x 480 is not better than 1280 x 720. Far from it.

I read everyone's opinions so far and I kept having this impression of people thinking the poll meant "they won't play a game if the resolution is low". But that's just me, don't take it too seriously.

Resolution isn't the main reason for playing any video game, but it's always a nice thing (for newer/remake/etc. games).

Well , no , not really . If I can see what's going on in the screen , then it's fine .
