SOCIAL ANXIETY: Everyone Hates Me Syndrome

Posted

I think he gets it spot on...you think everyone is extremely judgmental to you 24/7. It makes me afraid to talk to people because I'm concerned that they will think negatively about me if I mess up something about a sentence or my hair is messy or something.  You have no idea how difficult it makes it to talk to girls...

Well, Social Anxiety is classified as a sub-division of Paranoia, most of this does make sense.

Too bad it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy for some people, and that's just sad.

inb4 everyone on this site agrees cause yall need to go outside

I do go outside often. I just have difficulty talking to people who I don't know.

That's just being shy. Social Anxiety is a lot more extreme than that.

I know what the difference is, and I have social anxiety. I've had exactly what he's described my whole life. I'm not saying I'm proud of it, because I'm not.

I shake and stutter when just making normal conversations with people... I really hate having social anxiety, and I hate it when people say "Stop whining and talk to people". I'd go into a rant, but I already made a thread for that before.

Have you been clinically diagnosed with the condition?

And no one should be proud of having a condition that prevents them from being a part of society...

No, my parents wouldn't think it was a real condition

And I agree

As someone who is quite shy and have overprotective parents who wont allow me to go outside at all unless its in school, this isn't going to work at least for me.

You can go outside in your dreams.

This is sad since I dream A LOT.

wow! this guy was spot on! im being serious! im like this ALL THE TIME!

I don't socialise, I stutter and am called weirdo and a freak, and I'm okay with it. My problem is more of my shyness and low regard towards humanity in general; the most populace in my town judgemental hypocrites that gives less and less faith to our kind everyday. I prefer indoors anyway, giving a glare to anyone who catches my sight.

Oh boy, where to start

1. Short-sighted

2. Cannot walk straight/ Uneven gait

3. Personality Disorder, goes from hating someone, to being nice, to crying, to staring into space within five minutes.

4. Was bullied everyday for years and had family abuse

5. Is afraid of what people are thinking, ''Everyone hates me'' , Afriad they will judge me for my hair or something

6. Not caring what people are thinking, saying or dressing however without caring about society at all. 'They are all stupid homophobic sexist racist fools''.

I change between 5 and 6 rapidly

All of those... save for the family abuse, sorry to hear about that.

It's alright. I don't really care anymore because I know there are people all over the world who are way worse off than me and suffering more than I am. Like the children in syria and refugees for example, Im a kid myself and i could easily have been there, I care about them, but I hate most people in the general public because they are so judgmental and uneducated. I know there are good people and bad people everywhere, but the nerve people in cities have...

Not everybody's an introvert.

Not everybody's an extrovert.

So don't go around pulling people to your side just because you're an introvert/extrovert.

If you are an introvert, it's fine, eventually you'll become more sociable.

If you are an extrovert, it's fine as well, just keep on being sociable.

Interesting discussion here...it's like the introverts contrasting the extroverts, and then there's the people who actually have conditions, so there's that as well.

I suppose not everyone is as perfect as they seem. o.o

Social Anxiety is a panic disorder.

I have chronic social anxiety. I have to be treated for it with 30 mg of medicine every night.

I also have Agoraphobia, which along with social anxiety is very hard to deal with.

Agoraphobia is the fear of going out to crowded places, afraid of being stuck somewhere with people you don't really know.

It basically is the "everyone hates me" disorder because you aren't sure what people are thinking about you and you are afraid of what people may think about you.

And it is really scary when you get in stressful social situations.

I have had many anxiety attacks from small thinks even like standing up for myself in front of someone.

It is not a fun to deal with.

Usually people who are "shy" may have social anxiety disorder.

The real thing you have to look out for are the big signs.
