Do you think there will be a new development trailer to show some more characters off and more boss battles, and more Disney ride attractions and maybe some news about worlds and MOST IMPORTANTLY A RELEASE DATE! 2015 OR 2016?

I doubt that we're getting the game until 2016 at the earliest. I also don't think we're getting another trailer at this year's E3.

For Square Enix, E3 is going to be all about Final Fantasy XV, as it should be.The main thing for Kingdom Hearts will be some playable demos for 2.5 (probably even a trailer).Any trailer we would get for Kingdom Hearts 3 will probably be another tech demo. I think it would be a good idea to have a trailer that showed off the Kingdom Shader and advanced AI they keep mentioning (possibly even Sora's new clothes?). I would NOT expect new worlds, I would NOT expect new characters, and I can guarantee you that there will not be any sort of release window revealed (even if they are shooting for a 2015 release).

The PS2 was a LOT easier to develop for than current gen. It's going to take more time no matter what.

Kingdom Hearts III is unlikely to have a trailer released this year. Kingdom Hearts III won't be released in 2015.

Wrong. Kingdom Hearts II took three years. Chain of Memories wasn't developed by the Kingdom Hearts team.

To be fair though, Final Fantasy XV spent (roughly) the first half of its development cycle geared towards a different console. If it had been designed for the PS4 from the getgo then it would most likely have been finished by now.

Yep. That is what I am thinking. We need some story now and E3 is perfect for that.

How are they going to design for the PS4 when development started soon after the PS3's release..

We'll probably get another little beta trailer (which footage may not even end up in the game) to keep people calm, but I'd much rather 2.5 information

Whoa Skippy! You're asking for WAY too much for a game that's still going to take about another 2 or 3 years to make! At most, if there is a trailer, it probably won't be too different from the one we already got, and a release date is CERTAINLY not going to be the first news we get. In fact, it will probably be the last. 2015 is a bit too early, so I wouldn't get your hopes up. We probably will get something at E3, but I wouldn't imagine it to be anything more than what we've already got. As for FF XV, all that stuff is a little more likely, but still not a guarantee. But hey, the more they focus on FF XV, the sooner they'll be able to give more attention to KH III.

I'd say it could be possible we could get a trailer. However, I'm sure that Square wants the attention on Final Fantasy 15 and Kingdom Hearts 2.5.

Ummmmm. Mr. Nomura said that he will try(?) to release a game every year. So if 2.5 don't come this year then we won't have KH3 until 2016. But, unless other games come in between, then most likely (with 2.5 coming out in 2014) we should have it in like 2016 or 2017. But without other games coming in (still 2.5 in 2014) we should have it by 2015.

To me 65% of myself tells me it's going to be a story. Yeah we had like two gameplay trailers, so let's just get to the story now.

Yep KH3 release date will most likely come in 2015 at earliest.(to me) And 2.5 needs a release date too! SE probably already finished the game and we don't even know it.

I saw an analysis sometime ago in a KHInsider thread that stated 2015 is possible, and I heard they have a high accuracy rate. The guy calculated that in the little time SE discussed KHIII between each game (or something like that, I don't remember the eaxct wording) may have already accumulated the equivalent to one year of prep work.

 

Plus, from what I heard, developing for PS4 is easier than PS3. Someone on KHInsider guessed that the only reason Nomura is having so much difficulty Nomura, is because the PS4 doesn't have known limits, and because Nomura constantly tries to challenge limits (ex., Leon's design in FFVIII was meant to challenge the animators to animate fur in the FMV's), he doesn't know what to do now, because there's no limit to challenge.

 

Also, from what I remember, Nomura said development for KHIII is going really fast, and given that he has probably been planning the story for years, he probably has an even cleared idea of what he wants than he had in KHII, so there's less stuff he needs to come up with while writing the game.

I say.. E3 new Story trailer, and Jump Festa 2014 Story/gameplay Trailer with in the end the Release date for 2015.

I doubt they will show anything at E3. They should be focusing more on 2.5 for now, we don't have a release date for it yet. They could release tiny things like images or 10 second videos of KH3 like teasers or something..

I have high hopes that a trailer will be shown off in E3, but if there isn't, then the Tokyo Game Show is my next best bet, and if not, then maybe at the D23 Expo? Whenever it happens, I'm sure that the next trailer for KH3 will be just as amazing as the two we saw.  And as some have said here, I'm guessing that a trailer revealing how the Kingdom Shader works would be great!  Let's cross our fingers everyone!

I'm more worried about Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX to care about a KH3 trailer.
