I think Groundonite and Kyogrite will happen. They pulled the mega stone on Mewtwo, a legendary, and they can do it here.

Well it'll be both a remake and a sequel since Hoenn would be remade,though I'd expect the events to take place 2 years after the defeat of Team Aqua and Magma

What I think would cool is if it was like a parallel world where Team Aqua/Magma won and the world is 90% land/water and you start on a new adventure to return the world back to balance using mega Groudon/Kyogre

Is prefer it to just be a simple remake of the gab games like soul silver and heart gold were to the gbc games. BUT if after you were done with the game they continued the story further than the gab games than that would be even better!

Like Heartgold, and Soulsilver most likely they would put the Emerald plot in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire.

I hope the events make a come back. Events I'm referring to is such as the Old Sea Chart (Mew) and the islands that had Lati twins, Deoxys, Ho-oh, and Lugia.

Of course they'll add new stuff, and not just stuff they've added in recent games.

So the trailer makes it sound like we'll be getting new story, but the Pokemon site doesn't make it sound that way.
