what format do you like getting games on? me? i WAY prefer physical. i dont really like digital at all. i feel like if i own a game, i need the actuall physical disk. when the servers go down you cant get the games anymore. that i REALLY hate but its enevitable. :( thats not the case with physical. if they discontinue the physical version you could still buy it! i really dont like digital. i feel like its a lot better to have a tangable disk / cartrige. thats not to say that i refuse to buy digital tho. there are some games that can only be bought digitally (like the AWESOME CAVE STORY!!!!) and i refuse to let my dislike of digital stop me from playing them. indie games are to amazing! i can see why developers like digital becouse the cost of producing tangable games is gone tho. that said, i still like physical better. the video game industry seems like its going to eventually be digital only which i dont like but ill deal with it. so what do you prefer?

Physical because digital wastes so much memory on a console/system.

Physical due to I am a collector and physical art and boxes are part of the game.

Physical because I grew up buying physical games and not digital. Also they are a waste of memory.

Physical just has a different feel to it.

I tend to get both

I don't care as long as I get to play the game.

I've got to go with physical. There's just something about having the physical game in case that makes me prefer it more than digital.

That's not to say digital is bad, I'd be more than happy to purchase a game digitally, but I'd much prefer a physical copy.

I like both, but Phisical can get in the way in handhelds, so as of late I'm purchasing for handhelds on digitial-only.

It depends. If it's part of a series I really like, like KH or FF I go physical. however if it's a series I've never heard of but become curious about (as was the case with my first Tales games) I go digital. But even if it a series I like, if is consecutively disappoints me (like the Lightning Trilogy) I switch to digital until it earns back my respect. Likewise if a series i just tried recently and really enjoyed I change to physical (as will be the case with Tales from now on). The reason for this is because they cost the same no matter the format but with physical I'm spending bot my money and time to go out an buy it and, when I start driving, the money for whatever gas it takes to get to the store as well as for the actual game. Also If I don't like a game I bought digitally I can just delete it and never have to see it again, rather then spending time finding a buyer.

I used to always say physical, but then i thought about all the games I've lost or pawned on a whim. I also think about all the old games like PSOne and old PS2 games and how much I love the PSN classics, because I now know that those games will be saved forever on the internet so 30 years from now there would be a way to easily download a game off of wherever  and play it or show my kids what gaming was like in 2000s and blow their minds "How can you play with these horrific graphics?! Why can't I move his every muscle with my mind?  How can you be immersed with a flat TV like this?" and remember the early 2000s when we wanted an old game we'd actually have to go out and buy it? Game stop, they don't have it anymore, MovieGallery, don't have it, local pawn shop...nope, other pawn shop, hey look, cool.... it doesn't work.

Physical because I prefer buying things with cash over debit/credit, and I also like having a disk

Digital for one reason and one reason only. My little brother will break any physical game I have within the first week of owning it

I used to be super gung-ho about physical copies of games, but honestly I don't care anymore. Games just don't hold their resale value anymore unless it's a very limited release, and the convenience of downloading games and not having to hoard onto boxes kinda makes it worth it to me, in my opinion.

I don't have any preference, sometimes I download digital games and other times I buy physical copies, but I think I should start buying games digitally a bit more because taxes in Canada starts to get really ridiculous when I buy physical games. The problem with digital games though is the limited hard drive especially for my Wii U.Seriously 32GB in 2014 is nothing,I don't know how they expect us to buy games on the eshop with only 32GB.

Digital is good for those who don't have access to the game physically; so it's good on their part. I like both honestly, but digital more so...I can keep up with all my games on a console. I like physical too though if I can't get it digitally. Both have their pros and cons. :P

I prefer physical copies. I feel like I actually own the game when I can hold it in my hand, and there's something about game boxes that I love. I prefer digital for PC games, though, Gotta love Steam.

I would never give the PlayStation Store or Nintendo eShop access to my bank account, so that's that.

Couldn't you just get the cards that have money on them?

Yes, but I'm really going to spend $80 or $100 on PSN cards. Lol.

Aren't there lower priced ones? Like, $20 or $50?

PSN cards? Well yes, but new games cost like $80. Lol.

Oh... Nevermind then. I was thinking of smaller games, not full blown PS3 games.
