I gotta disagree with this list (and I know few of you guys might agree with me too) because there are some games that should've been on the top 10.

So some the problems that I have about this list is that: there's only one Minecraft game so that shouldn't be called a series (ports doesn't count), Pokemon should've on the list because with X & Y releasing last year and selling over 4 million copies in 2 days and ORAS having over 1 million pre-orders in Japan alone. And Final Fantasy should've been up there with all the games that's been out and the upcoming games coming soon.

The only FPS games that I played was Borderlands 1 & 2 and Bioshock Infinite and they were really good.

Why is CoD on the list? Also my biggest gripe with it is that they forgot to put Kingdom Hearts on the list...

Top 10 best games? more like 10 popular games. The List should have Metal Gear series, Souls series and, of course, Kingdom Hearts series on it if it was a top 10 best games.

I've played it.... Either the story is Extremly short (haven't played it all, but have friends who have)or.....you play online.

Playing online means your prone to people on their mics who are extremely annoying . Age doesn't matter, most people will say some nasty things online on CoD.

Also it's on the list since almost everybody in the U.S. buys the game. To answer your question, it's not that good, but the sales are enormous.

I'm curious to know what the criteria for lists like these are. I'm inclined to think it's either sales, or how many people are estimated to be playing them.

It happens. It's not really something to worry about though. You'll end up stressing yourself out over someone else's problem.

I think this list isn't that good, because how can you objectively decide what's 'the best game ever'? Even more so since there's multiple genres. Some people just don't like FPSs, some others hate RPGs. They might've held some kinda poll based on which they made this list, but the answer still wouldn't be entirely reliable. Some games are more mainstream than the others but that doesn't necessarily mean they're better...

If this is based on how much they've sold, they could've used "most successful game series" or something...
