February 3, 201510 yr Neither. DRIVE FORMS AND COMMAND STYLES FTW!!!Fever Pitch = Valour FormWingblade = Final FormxD Basically what this guy said.Peace!
February 3, 201510 yr Realistically neither, although I'd probably give a slight edge to D-Links. They were basically just extra moves, unlike Summons which were super gimmicky.
February 3, 201510 yr I liked both of them, but really the only time I used summons in KH2 was during the Coliseum Cups, and the only time I used the D-links was just so I could get their finishers, so I would have to say I used the summons in 2 more.
February 3, 201510 yr I only used D-links in extreme cases to heal up (maybe once or twice per character) and didn't use a single summon in KH2.
February 3, 201510 yr I really only used both for the completion (getting max levels, finishers, etc) so I used D-Links more simply because there are more of them.^^"
February 3, 201510 yr I used summons more, because I had to increase that level. But D-links are way cooler; there's no summon that lets you breathe dragonfire (in KH2 at least).
February 3, 201510 yr i used to mostly use D links, but ive been using Summons more often here in 2.5 so i choose Other
February 3, 201510 yr D-Links. Aqua D-Link OP. I only ever used Summon in that one Coliseum tournament, Titan Cup and Titan Paradox, I think.
February 3, 201510 yr I didn't use either of them that much, but D-links more often. I used summons maybe 2% of the time.
February 3, 201510 yr Having only have played BBS so far (Damn you, life getting in the way DX), I'm going with D-Links: I never used Summons much in the ps2 KH II, and Drive forms were too much of an issue to level up. D-Links saved my a$$ in a few boss fights for combo finishers. Who knew a boss could be taken down with Magic Step from Cinderella?
February 3, 201510 yr While D-Links were more useful, I enjoyed the Summons more since you could fight alongside other Disney characters with them.
February 3, 201510 yr D-Links were super helpful early game to wreck bosses. At other points in the game, they were helpful as an emergency heal and high damage finishers. And late game, they were helpful for grinding, what with Mickey's having double EXP, and Stitch having double CP. Overall, D-Links were really helpful. Summons were pretty meh in KH2. They were better in KH1 imo
February 3, 201510 yr Depends on how I used them. In terms of game completion,I used D-Links more since there were more of them than summons. In terms of actual gameplay, I didn't use either one. I was more for getting my hands dirty using normal or Drive forms and using Command styles (which happened more so because I used certa in moves as opposed to me trying to get them).
February 3, 201510 yr I've literally never used a D-Link once. When I played BBS, I somehow forgot they were even a gameplay mechanic after the tutorial screen and just never remembered they existed. I've at least used summons sometimes in KH2, so that automatically wins. I do like how they improved on the returning summons from KH1, like giving Genie a bunch of Limits to play with as opposed to two shitty magic spells that never work right, and how Peter Pan/Tinkerbell can both heal you and attack enemies. It's pretty rad. (Plus Stitch's is adorable is all kinds of ways)
February 3, 201510 yr Aqua's D-Link helped me out a bit in the beginning because it had Cure, and I'll admit to using the instant full heal to cheat the system a bit (though Drive Forms do that too). Summons though, I can't think of a time where I've ever found the desire to risk navigating the battle menu to activate a summon, and the AP I would use on Auto-Summon can be used for other things. Honestly, they're pretty much useless to me.
Between BbS D-links and KH II Summons, which one did you use the most?
