February 20, 201510 yr It's still incredible how incompetent the team must be. Not even for not being able to complete a game in almost a decade but the lack of a director who sees that their project is just too big. They should have cut content or made this into a movie years ago. They're just wasting resources, imao.

The game's original director in Nomura was kicked off the team. Tabata asked you to reset the clock to when he joined the project in 2012.

February 20, 201510 yr So they started from scratch? Like completely? definitely not scratch. the story is stll conceptually the same, the music seems to be the same, Noctis and such still exist, ad most of the environments we've seen are still there the combat was revamped, but not COMPLETELY changed
February 20, 201510 yr I feel like it's worth noting that the latter half of game development tends to go much more quickly than the first. Once they stop building engines and the like, it's generally much smoother sailing, and the last bit of development isn't even MAKING the game, but QA testing it
