Will the Heartless be normal colored or Final Mix colored in KH3?

Posted

What I mean is that will the heartless colors look like in the vanilla version of the KH games or will they have the alt. colors like in the Final Mix games? Basically, since the world now has a taste of the Final Mix games and how they look like in those games, it would be kinda weird to see them in their basic colors. I hope we'll get the Final Mix colors but I feel like we won't.

we've already seen classic designs in some footage, haven't we?

I think it'll still be normal colored unless they decide to do another Final mix, which i doubt will happen again.

Well if they don't do Final Mixes anymore, might as well use the Final Mix colors.

I'll be happy if they bring back Rainbow Guard Armor. I could care less about the rest of those sandbags.

Maybe they might have a new game plus option with the Final Mix colors instead, that would be pretty nice actually.C'mon sqaure take my idea!

Footage tends to change; need I even bring up the Behemoths and Wyverns from the Battle of 1000 Heartless?

Honestly, it's kind of a toss up what they'll do. They kept the non-Final Mix colors for Re;CoM and 358/2, both of which came out after the first two Final Mixes, so who's to say?

This is even assuming they have recurring Heartless that were color-swapped- I feel like Shadows and Neoshadows are guaranteed (they're as iconic as the Kingdom Key) along with other Purebloods, but other than that, they might just introduce all new Heartless. Again, who's to say?

I'm sure Soldiers and Large Bodies will return. And sure footage changes in terms of content all the time, but it seems like a pretty strange thing to bother making the classic designs for the Heartless rather than Final Mix. That doesn't really seem like a choice anybody would agonize over

(besides that the classic designs are more marketable because more people know them)

You can be as sure as you want, but that doesn't mean much- no one will know for a fact until finished trailers are released (or maybe even until the game comes out, if the trailers don't show much).

One could argue it's a pretty strange thing to recolor Heartless in the first place, especially given that the classic designs are already recognizable and, like you said, more marketable. Really, there's no great reason to expect one design over the other at this point, if there even are recurring Heartless.

(If they wanted to get clever, they could have regular Heartless with their original color, and then have beefed up tougher versions of those same Heartless with their Final Mix designs- kind of like the Cavern of Remembrance, only hopefully less aggravating. It'd even make a kind of sense, given the added difficulty modes in the Final Mixes.)

I'll take a Cavern of Remembrance like deal.  The whole recoloring them for the Final Mixes seemed weird in the first place so I'd rather have the original designs.  At least it'd make sense to have a color swap if they were stronger versions.

Well, I'm not really sure how the Heartless would appear in Kingdom Hearts III.  They could appear in their original color palettes, or they could appear in their Final Mix color palettes!  For now, it remains a mystery! :O

I'd prefer the original designs. The rainbow Final Mix Heartless just looked weird and not very threatening at all.

Lets hope they have the original designs. Plus if anything, make a DLC where heartless textures change and such.

I do hope that they're gonna have their normal designs .

They're gonna be rainbow flavored.

that... sounds like the lamest DLC ever

Who ever said it would be the only DLC? Plus, who also said that would be the only parts of the DLC? I just stated it could be included in a DLC, not that it would be the entire DLC. Lol.

Only if they make a final mix. The regular one shouldn't have that.

Free DLC?

Never really got the point to them being colored, so I can do without honestly.
