358/2 Days & Re:coded can be released in HD for smartphones

Posted

Division 3 is no stranger to remastering Nintendo DS games in high definition for iOS & Android devices after The World Ends with You: Solo Remix and with Nomura revealing this week that Kingdom Hearts will be headed to smartphones it opens the door for a HD remaster of 358/2 Days and Re:coded. Would you like to see 358/2 Days & Re:coded in high definition on smartphones and tablets?

I suppose I would like it, however I also sort of don't. I actually never really saw the problem with remaking them for the PS3. Since they already have a lot of cutscenes and they already had to remake the worlds in HD for Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2. However I know nothing about making or remaking games.

Massive waste of resources.

I don't think I'd buy an HD version of Re:Coded or 358/2 Days for smartphones. The games aren't entertaining enough to me to warrant another purchase/playthrough.

While I think this is a good idea, square would probably ruin it with their ridiculous prices

Personally I'm hoping the announcement will be KHX for smartphones

I'd rather have the HD remakes for PS3/4 (especially Days) but since it's never going to happen I wouldn't mind the remake for the smartphone. I would probably just buy Days only and play it. I do wonder how the gameplay is going to work on the phone.

No way. Consoles only.

They remake the GTA series on tablets in HD , so why the heck not ?

Well haha, Nomura already said no.

I'd love to play a remake of Re:Coded... but not on a phone. So I'll just stick to the DS version.

Re:coded is a remake...

i would say no but just because my smartphone is too bad to play these games xDI'm one of those guys who wants all the 3 DS titles remastered on the Wii U maybe in a few years or so^^

Wii U will be dead by then, and Square Enix doesn't care about the Wii U.

Technically they're already on consoles. Nothing has been confirmed of them being ported to iOS/Andriod or even hinted. 1.5 and 2.5 has indeed been said to be possible by SE themselves. Then they'd be on 2 Sony consoles, but still no smartphones. :P

358/2 Days & Re:coded are not playable in HD. And honestly they're bad games. But KH games are going mobile regardless.

Nah, I'll be playing the KH mobile games. But I won't enjoy it, and it's only cause of my love for the series.

Doesn't matter if they're playable in HD. They're still on consoles regardless.

They're not bad games, that's just your opinion, which is fine.

Well that would really depend. Exactly how would they look on a smartphone in HD? Cause from what I understand a smartphone's capability of HD is on a different tier than a HDTV's level of HD. I've never seen anything about Solo Remix, so I have no idea what the difference is.

Guys please take any off topic bickering to PM. I just cleaned up this thread. Play nice :)

Thank you.

Thank you.

You're welcome.

I would love to see them HD remastered onto smartphones! Both those games deserve a bit more love so I can see both of them going onto mobile devices and getting more attention. Lets just hope if they do get ported, prices aren't that high. Maybe have free limited versions? :D

Flaming Lea: Cleans up and tells ya to play nice! Or else. xD

Anyway, as for what I think.....I'd be down for Mobile Days and Re:Coded! :)

As much as I'd prefer console version, if this is the only way to have a somewhat HD Playable Days/Re:Coded, then I'd gladly play them.

Ick, no. Mobile ports of games not built for mobile are almost universally terrible. Plus, both games make good use of the lower screen on the DS, especially Re:Coded. It'd be a shame to lose that.

actually as much as I dislike Days, putting the Sora stuff on the bottom screen was pretty brilliant

I can already see the struggle now....
