Why did you choose your USERNAME?

Posted

What is the reason behind your username?

I chose SteVentus because of two things.

One being that I have 'Ven' in my name, so I just added -tus to the end to make it SteVentus. And the second reason being that I can deeply relate to Ventus, and that he is my favorite Kingdom Hearts Character, (2nd place being Roxas)

How 'bout you guys? What is the story behind your choice of username?

Featured Replies

I used to be named SkyVentus.

Guess what Sky meant.

And Ventus wasn't because of the KH character, it was coming from the word wind.

After that I named myself Xer(Zer, not Cher), coming out from Xerguilhem [Zer-Guy-Lhem] (which was, and still is, my original Nobody name), but people had a hard time pronouncing/spelling that name, so I just changed it to what I've got now. Been about 3,5 years since I've had Xer as my username.

Riki is heropon.

Strangely enough, I actually didn't choose my username. xD It was a practical joke played on me by Flaming Lea, and I just happened to embrace the name. :3 Seeker of Darkness for life! <3

My normal username, SuperiorKunivas, was made from the title of Xemnas and the name of a Klingon from Star Trek. I got the latter at a young age and it stuck! :D

Then of course, I discovered KH and Xemnas and the rest is history.

My current one comes from the Final form of the Final Boss and Main Antagonist of Mortal Kombat X: Shinnok, who becomes known as Corrupted Shinnok after his transformation. :D

Saix is my favorite KH character and I join the site not too long after BBS came out and Saix's somebody's name was reveal in that game, so I was like: Why not fuse Saix's name with Isa's and there you go.

My username comes from when I was playing a game and I had to name my character. I didn't exactly know what to name him and I was typing in random words surounding the things that have to do with a Paladin (since that is the class I picked). I just went ahead with Magicblade. It thought it sounded cool and catch so I stuck with it.  xD

Snow gave me this username xD

Riki is heropon.

And I am the heropon's sidekick.

Good old Lord of the Rings and elves.

I've used this name on one other site, but here are the reasons I chose to use it again on this one

-Wakeless Dream is the name of one of the days in The World Ends With You, that's where I got my username from. I just thought it sounded cool, and I wanted a name that would stick out and be unique.

-I joined around the time this site was covering news about KH3D so I thought to myself "why not have a name that's semi KH3D themed?" Most notably there's a quote from YMX in the game that says "This wakeless sleep will be your prison to wander forever." I changed sleep to dream because it reminded me of that day in TWEWY, my name on the other site, and I just thought dream sounded better than sleep,  and voila, that's how I got my username.

Probably the most thought I've put into a username for anything I've ever signed up for, but now you know the story behind it!

I'm pretty sure that's what my profile page explains.

However, if you want the long version...

When I discovered KH I was just starting on creative writing. I read some fan fictions and wanted to create a Nobody to include in the Organization to feel more "included", I guess. I don't even remember how I got the name. It ended up as Rinax, though. Usernames either tend to be that or Xinare.

It's from a song by 10 Years. I chose it as my gamer tag way back in my angsty teen years, but I've never not liked it. The acronym, however, was a bit of an oversight...

Wait, how is that~Oh. Now I see it. •_•

Shulk! Where Reyn go?!

From some old games. Never could think of a unique username anyways.

Shulk! Where Reyn go?!

Probably off doing whatever it is that he does when he's alone.

In my videogames, I once went by Fighter* (Yes, the star was part of the name.)And every once in a while, I would do Saix. But the main one right now is Astron, my OC name.(If some of you want to, you may call me Astron, just don't call me Astro or AstroBoy.)

Ummm...

Well at the time I signed up for this site I was losing favor for the username I normally use (Master Champ, which I've completely grown out of now, it was the name of my Club Penguin account like 10 years ago). So I wanted a different name. I liked dragons, and I liked the title of master, and at the time I played an online game (DragonFable, if you've ever heard of it) which had a character who was a dragon master. So my original name was dragonmaster, and I later had the D and M capitalized around when the name change thread was made.

It's an old joke between friends.  I took a class at my college when I started learning Japanese.  It was such a fun class that we all easily became friends.  There were a few of my friends in the class that discovered I hated the word "kawaii" and I did not like to be called that so of course they teased me all the time.  At one point I snapped back at them.  Problem was that I was still a beginner and didn't know many adjectives so I ended up blurting out 「かわいくないです。おいしいですよ。」(I'm not cute! I'm delicious!)  Everyone laughed and they have called me Oishii-san ever since.

My current is a mix I felt describes me best, a combo of my favorite character, the Russian word for sovereign of the people, and Winter.

Also, I thought it sounded interesting.

On topic, my old username, TheTimidLight, was a fan made term for Roxas based on the line up in DAYS where they all get titles, since Roxas didn't get one.

Aww... That is actually kinda cute. Sorry, I couldn't help myself there. But still, they shouldn't have been like that, even if you were a beginner. To be honest, I know absolutely no Japanese other than 'Konichiwa' (I hope that was Japanese and not Chinese. •_•)

I used to use this one username that I made when I was a lot younger everywhere. A little while ago I decided to try something new and ending up picking what I have now.

'The Eight Melodies' references the Mother/Earthbound Series and you collect them in the first 2 games!

It's also an actual song too  :3

Ah, I remember that melody. When the song was complete, it brought back All of Ness's memories. My favorite part of Earthbound was the part where Ness defeats his Nightmare and gains a bunch of Stat boosts and gets a bunch of Exp. I remember when it said: "Ness has reached Level 85" <-- Was level 76.
