It will be another year of waiting for Kingdom Hearts 3

 

I just hope that Square Eninx can fill next year up with plenty of trailers and information about new worlds and slowly introduce all the characters that will be in Kingdom Hearts 3 and more information and game play that gumi ships will be like!

It really depends on how late they plan to release KH3 in 2017.  If it is later in the year they may wait to reveal a lot of things at E3 2017 or TGS 2017.  I guarentee we will receive news next year, but I wouldn't expect anything major until we learn about a solid release date.

I really hope we don't have to wait another year. It'll be really disappointing

I'm honestly fine if it goes to 2017. I've got plenty to look forward to until then. Any later though... I'd like it to be done by the time college is over in 2018. Just as a sort of farewell to my childhood (though not really, since I'll still do whatever I did as a kid anyways).

Nah man, I'm totally like this. The current amount of hype is just perfect for me.

I don't mind the wait at all as long as it is well done. The problem right now it's that we are not even sure how much we have to wait exactly. If they confirm like it's going to be March 2017 for example I will know I have to wait 18 months. But right now I am not sure wheter it's going to be 13, 18, 20, 22 months. THAT'S what kill you while waiting.

I actually expected the game to never be released in 2016 because it was obvious from our updates on their progression of the game that the game is not ready for such early release.

Well at Sony's conference they did announce a price drop, which makes it cost around $350. But right now its just a Japan thing, although by the time KH3 comes around it wont be a surprise to see it drop everywhere else.

Most people have been waiting since KH2 came out in 2006 for the next mainline console KH title, so another year isn't really that long if you look at it from a certain perspective

Don't encourage them. I really doubt it's gonna go to 2018, and hope it doesn't come to that. 4 years of development is definitely more than enough for a more cartoony game.

I just don't want the game to be rushed or almost half-cooked. And I definitely don't want it to be released first in JPN, I hate spoils.

Trust me, with 4 years of development (2017) it shouldn't be rushed. That's pretty much the golden amount of time to work out the kinks, especially with a game that isn't going for the realistic aesthetic. I do think that with the support that disney seems to want to give out for this game now, it may have a much shorter gap for the japan--western releases. If we're lucky, there won't be any gap.

Well they have a lot of delays and FFXV were also in a tight spot, I just hoped it would be on 2017 coz I'll be planning to buy a ps4 January next year, fingers crossed

They did have one big delay (the switch to unreal 4), but I don't think that was too long of one. I don't think 1.5, 2.5, and now 2.8 really took too much man-power to pull off. But yeah, 2017 here we come!

I like the idea of 2.8, well besides the HD remake of KH3D but also to complete the PAST gap of the game (KHBBS).

I have high expectations but not that high, as a big fan of Squareenix i know they mean well to the fans.

I'm fine with waiting another year.

Honestly, I don't mind having to wait another year for Kingdom Hearts III to release!  This just means that the game will probably come out in 2017, and as such, will be the game that celebrates the 15th Anniversary of the series, as I, and a few others on this website, have speculated now and then!  Hey, as long as the game is still being worked on, I don't have a problem!

Because there were valid points as to why it could release next year. But, unfortunately a 2017 release is more likely. Let us hope that it will be a Summer release.

You do realize that there's plenty of other good titles that are releasing next year right? Uncharted 4, FFXV, 2.8 to name a few. There's plenty to keep you occupied until 2017

If it releases in 2017 then Zootopia and Moana are guaranteed to be in the game in some capacity.

Exactly. This is why I don't understand people complaining. I do however, do not want to see a Winter 2017 release. Q1 or Q2 release will do nicely.
