Just few minutes ago, Bayonetta was confirmed to be the ballot winner. Not Sora, not King K rool, not Shante, but Bayonetta. And since many users on here wanted Sora, it was natural to post this.

So, what's your reaction that Sora wasn't the ballot winner and probably going to playable in Smash Bros 5? (Which is probably a decade later)

All it means is that I don't have to buy Smash. I've never been a Smash player, but Sora's inclusion would have made me want to try it out.

I'm probably 40-60% salty because NONE of my characters including Sora didn't get into smash and the characters that are in smash are the ones that I don't really care about, but the saltyness will soon go away eventually when TPHD, 2.8, tales of berseria and many other games that I'm excited for next year comes out! I'm trying to immaturely complain though

As for his inclusion for a future installment? I dunno, depends of SE really wants to promote KH.

People are gonna freak out no matter what. What irks me is that some these characters feel shoehorned in. I have the feeling the ballot really didn't mean anything and they had Bayonetta planned awhile ago.

I expected worse, but in the end Bayonetta's addition blew my socks off!

I'll admit Sora was my #1 choice, but I'm not even mad that he didn't make it. I'm just disappointed on the direct because I was expecting more than just one character for the ballot. They really didn't need to make it a huge deal about the ballot results being released if it was just going to be one character. They could've just released Bayonetta's trailer like they did with Cloud and every other character. I am happy though she got in because I am familiar with her as I played the demo, and she looks cool. It could be worse I guess since it could be a character that I'm not at all familiar with. I just found the direct to be kinda underwhelming.

 

Is there even gonna be another Smash? I thought this was the last one.

you mean disney since they own the right to sora and every original characther from kh plus i can see sora and company in disney infinity before he gets in smash

All in all I think I would rather have Sora done well Kingdom Hearts than have him rushed in another game.

Salty, but not too salty. I'm fine with it, though the possibility of him being in the next installment is just as slim.

I'm kinda familiar with her too. I've only seen someone play some of the game though, but not familiar to the point where I would like her to be in smash, but she's in smash so can't do anything about that. I do like how her moveset, so I'm going to have to see if I like her or not when she comes out.

I'm not. Why would Sora be on Super Smash Bros. anyway? Fanservice or because fans just want to play and see Sora fighting other characters from different game series just for fun? Yeah sure Sora has been on Nintendo systems before, Chain of Memories, Re:Coded, and Dream Drop Distance, but I can never see Sora being in Super Smash Bros. Maybe in the future he might be in Super Smash Bros. 5 but I'm actually glad he's not in Super Smash Bros. on 3DS Wii U right now.

Oh shut up you haters, Sora was never going to be in the game without Disney's permission, and Bayonetta was a shoe in when Smash Bros 3DS / Wii U first came out because there were a lot of fans that wanted her in the game. So it was always going to happen, there were more fans voting for her than there were Sora. But since Square wants to work with Nintendo again, Smash Bros 5 (or 6 if counting 3DS and Wii U as different number games) could be the prefect place for Sora to appear! So be happy with what we have, because I don't think Smash Bros as a series is completely over yet, I think it was just gotten to the good part!

It's not the last Smash, but Sakurai said it might be the last one he'll work on. I wouldn't blame him for that decision, he gets far more complaints than he deserves to get. I don't know if another Smash could really be as good as the past four have been without Sakurai at the head of the project, though.

I'm not salty. but i'm drowning with other people's salt, i hate salt.

 

But at least we had that Nomura Artwork of Cloud.

Nope. I'm mostly fine with what they showed. That and the stats they showed at the end gives a clear message that it's worth it and more for its price. I am loving Bayonetta; looks so broken and OP (I honestly expect her to be banned in tourneys )

 

tbh I didn't really have hope for Sora to be in Smash, realistically speaking. As popular as he is, he's not THAT popular all over the world compared to, like, Cloud. While yes, the same can be said about Bayonetta, it's a wonderful surprise and imo a more recent character to the mind (as in, Bayonetta 2 for the WiiU is still  kinda fresh in gamer's minds).

 

Corrin? Honestly, reminds me of when Marth / Roy back in Melee. Promotional value as well as probably popular in Japan since the game came out over there.

 

I am also loving the music they chose. Just yessss

Shame, Smash is a fantastic game.

 

Either way, Bayonetta looks extremely cool and technical (wonder if with all those hitboxes she'll be better than Sheik!). I wanted Shantae or Sora, but eh who cares? I GOT CLOUD! I'm more than satisfied now. Smash 4 is still a fantastic game, and I have no doubt Smash 5 will be too. If more characters come in, great, but with ZS Samus, Cloud Strife, Shulk, and Corrin, as long as they're back in the next Smash games I'll be more than satisfied  

Hmm... I guess it would be a salty yet sweet situation. Salty because we didn't get Sora for smash. Sweet because we still got Bayonetta. I mean, I can see why Nintendo would do this because 3 Square Enix characters is a bit much. Well I guess the closest we will ever get to Sora in smash is either the next Smash game or Project M. But man... a Sora amiibo... maybe a Kingdom Hearts stage... maybe even with some new music.... Guess we'll just have to wait.
