Posted January 19, 20169 yr With Kingdom Hearts 3 ending the Dark Seeker Saga and of course Xehanort's obsession with it I thought of an interesting question: Could Sora or Riku possibly wield the X-Blade at some point in KH3? Or could Xehanort himself succeed in claiming it?
January 19, 20169 yr Possibly. I feel like information on the χ-blade is so abstract and minuscule that it's really hard to create stable theories right now. An interesting idea though definitely.
January 19, 20169 yr I'm just calling it right now...Sora's finishing move will be shoving the x-blade through Xehanort's heart.
January 20, 20169 yr I hate to say it but I kinda want to see Xehanort get the X-Blade.Why would you hate to say it? The power that it would give Xehanort would make for a good final boss.
January 20, 20169 yr Author Why would you hate to say it? The power that it would give Xehanort would make for a good final boss. Wouldn't getting his hands on the X-Blade essentially let him win?
January 20, 20169 yr Wouldn't getting his hands on the X-Blade essentially let him win?I guess, but having that and Sora and Co stop him will be a good addition to the plot. My only hope is that they do that, because they don't often do this sort of thing...
January 20, 20169 yr Maybe Xehanort wields it first and then at the climax somehow Sora gets his hands on it?
January 20, 20169 yr At some point yes i do believe either Sora or Riku will wield it although for a short period of time. It will probably be gone by the end of the games storyline until it is possibly referenced/mentioned in future KH titles
January 20, 20169 yr Possibly. I feel like information on the χ-blade is so abstract and minuscule that it's really hard to create stable theories right now. An interesting idea though definitely. Actually, I agree with you 100%. If the χ-blade we have seen throughout the series so far is not the true one, then it can't really be assumed what its true form is. I would assume it takes a physical form since it is a blade that many have tried to copy only to split its power into light and dark. Master Xehanort might hold it, then maybe Sora and company pull something, who knows what, to take it away from him and Sora would end up holding it.
January 20, 20169 yr I feel it's more likely that Roy Conli will wield it at the end. By the way... Hi, Disney fans.
January 20, 20169 yr I think it's only fair Xehanort succeeds. I mean the whole series has been geared towards the second key blade war and it wouldn't make sense if he wasn't successful, I mean the conditions are correct now with the 13 darkness pieces and 7 light pieces, so I see no reason for him not to wield it. Also it is strongly suggested that the darkness will triumph ( excluding the missing page's knowledge which undoubetedly see the light win in the end). To conclude, imagine a final boss battle in Kingdom Hearts against Xehanort with the X-Blade, then as the player you would have to utilise your abilities such as the transformations, attraction flow etc in order to stand a chance against him.
January 21, 20169 yr Well, considering that the Seven Guardians Of Light must clash with the Thirteen Seekers Of Darkness in order to forge the X-Blade, I could see things going either way! Xehanort could end up obtaining it, but then again, perhaps the tide could turn at the last moment and Sora ends up wielding the X-Blade! But, if the Seven try to avoid fighting the Thirteen, all Xehanort really needs to do to ensure his victory is capture the Seven Princesses Of Heart, and voila, he'll have the X-Blade! So really, it's probably a 50/50 chance at either side getting the X-Blade, ya know?
January 22, 20169 yr Why not both? Maybe it can be something like Nightmares end in DDD http://www.khwiki.com/images/1/1f/RS_Nightmare%27s_End_KH3D.gif
January 23, 20169 yr I'm going to call it right now.... Xehanort will succeed in obtaining the X-blade, then after the final fight, the X-blade will 'choose' Sora for his strength of heart. Don't get me wrong, I'm hoping they don't do it this way but it seems like the obvious KH way to do things.
January 24, 20169 yr I honestly don't care, but that's probably just because of my thoughts on how poorly and lazily designed the thing is I know it has a lot of plot relevance, but the thing is just stupid to me. I know a lot of people will disagree, because of it's role in the story, but still I don't really care for this thing.

That was was a fake, an imitation, just like every version of KH we've seen in the series. If we haven't seen the real KH, then we haven't seen the real χ-Blade either. Since we're supposedly going to finally see the true Kingdom Hearts in KH3, we'll see the true χ-Blade too which could look entirely different from that or anything else we've seen in the series. Hopefully, but that doesn't change the fact in how stupid it looks. All the keyblades in the series have been imitations, but they haven't been that lazy and stupid looking. That design should of never existed.

That design should of never existed. I think, personally, what would have made that design a lot better is if they made it the Kingdom Key AND the Kingdom Key D, to symbolize that the X-Blade is made up of both light and darkness.
January 31, 20169 yr I think, personally, what would have made that design a lot better is if they made it the Kingdom Key AND the Kingdom Key D, to symbolize that the X-Blade is made up of both light and darkness. That makes sense, but it's more so the design is just crossing two keyblades and a blade comes out. I'm also unsure of any sort of other design to do besides that, because those two keyblades are so similar. I think something similar to that combo Sora and Riku pull off would be better http://tse1.mm.bing.net/th?&id=OIP.Mfa9f6f66f7778b26c88d49c57403618do0&w=300&h=231&c=0&pid=1.9&rs=0&p=0 http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/kingdomhearts/images/4/49/Combined_Keyblade_KH3D.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/185?cb=20150802000422&format=webp
February 13, 20169 yr One thing that should be taken into account is the X-Blade is made up of hearts. It was Ventus' pure heart of light and Vanitas' pure heart of darkness that forged it. That being said, I feel it is most likely that Xehanort will weild it at some point. He's going out of his way to make sure the thirteen darknesses are made up of his heart. That makes him the most likely candidate. Another would be Sora. If you think of Roxas, Ventus and Xion being parts of Sora due to their connection to him, he would make up most of the light side...should they ever take form again and be part of the forging. Nomura did say the seven lights would be shocking to players. It seems by the evidence so far, that it's gearing up to show us that fhe X-Blade perhaps needs to be wielded by someone who has influence over most of the pieces. Sora may have another connection with Vanitas, due being part of Ventus who has borrowed Sora's heart twice and to this very day. Though, it's most likely Vanitas would be fully "Norted" unless Nomura has a surprise in store for us. It's like the thirteen darknesses. Sora would make up 4 lights (Maybe not 4 involved in the forging, mind you...) but, inadvertantly he has made several people exist. Naminè is another as well. That would make five lights. February 15, 20169 yr I don't believe Master Xehanort will be the one to wield the X-blade simply because he is not the strongest character in the series, or even the strongest Xehanort and so I don't think he is going to be the final boss. He gave up his body for a reason, to acquire a better vessel. His true strength resides in his undenying wit, surpassing even Master Yen Sid, as the wisest character in the series. He does possess some nice power though, such as the ability to freeze Ventus, or incredible quickness, however he was defeated by Terra. Terra is maybe the strongest brute force character in the series, but I wouldn't argue he is the strongest character, just a good vessel for Xehanort. Edited February 15, 20169 yr by Jermaine
February 17, 20169 yr My main man Xehanort is probably going to get it, then do some damage to team Mickey mouse. Then Sora will probably get it, because he says something about friendship. Kills Xehanort, the end. Simple and clean, yo!
