April 22, 20169 yr Popular Post Erm, he already had a haircut in Dream Drop Distance... Beat me to it Yeah like she said, Riku already got one. But to anwser the question, I prefer him with short hair. Edited April 22, 20169 yr by Felixx
April 22, 20169 yr Author Erm, he already had a haircut in Dream Drop Distance... That was just some kind of magic in Sora's dream world. If you noticed, in the cutscenes when he came out of Sora's dream world, his hair reverted to its normal length.
April 22, 20169 yr That was just some kind of magic in Sora's dream world. If you noticed, in the cutscenes when he came out of Sora's dream world, his hair reverted to its normal length. Because of Yen Sid's magic they looked like they used to in KH1. Riku's hair though is still short now, watch that cutscene (skip to 1:40)
April 22, 20169 yr well if he got a haircut after DDD he'd be borderline bald. i think it's too short in DDD but whatever. looks like they're sticking with it judging by the 0.2 footage.
April 22, 20169 yr I AM ALWAYS PRO HAIRCUT IN THIS SERIES I'm crying because there's a mullet-mohawk, the most impractical edgy haircut that covers one eye, antennae as hair, bishounen silky hair that is physically impossibly spiky at the top, and of course my personal favorite: Ginger Sonic the Hedgehog. The hair physically pains me.
April 22, 20169 yr What I want to see is why & how he got the haircut. A haircut in Japan symbolises a new beginning or fresh start. This is to show that Riku has redeemed himself from the darkness and mastered it, hence why he becomes a Keyblade Master at the end. DDD is primarily about Riku really. Peace! April 22, 20169 yr Personally I prefer Riku with the longer hair. I feel the shorter hair doesn't really suit him. Also, his hair was indeed short throughout all of Dream Drop Distance, as others have mentioned.
April 22, 20169 yr I think he should look as in KH1 where his hair was long but not THAT long as in KHII. I really liked his KH3D haircut but for the KH2 version doesn´t look that good so... I´m not sure anymore...
April 22, 20169 yr Not Riku, he already got his. Kairi is next on the list. April 22, 20169 yr Erm, he already had a haircut in Dream Drop Distance...Yeah I second this. Riku did get a haircut so this question is moot.
April 22, 20169 yr Not Riku, he already got his. Kairi is next on the list. Anime hair in and anime-inspired game? Who'd have thought? You know what I mean ;P and my post was mainly tongue in cheek, but I do honestly believe that the hairstyles are absurd regardless of their inspiration. It's not enough to get on my nerves but it is enough to make me roll my eyes. I'm genuinely glad Riku got his hair cut, because in my culture it signifies starting anew and well... it suits him. He's done being a negative nancy and he's looking to the future so there's no need for the designers to design him with bangs (or blindfolds) covering his eyes. Those days are done. But y'know that's just my opinion and I'm sure you have your own as well.

April 22, 20169 yr Yeah, we'll see about that. I can practically hear him wondering inf Yen Sid made a mistake. Well I mean he's basically done being all angsty. But as we know he's Riku and you can only be so positive when you're Riku. It's in his blood mate. That being said he's definitely getting more cheerful lately which personally is a welcome change. So I'm pro-haircut.
April 23, 20169 yr Author I want Riku to rock the Stone Cold Steve Austin look. Make bald beautiful again. Only Xehanort is using that hair style, and he makes bald look bad.
April 23, 20169 yr I hate the short hair. Either he changes his clothes to fit the short hair better or he regrows it.
April 25, 20169 yr Yep, like everyone else here has mentioned, his hair is shorter in Dream Drop Distance! I can't say that I dislike his short hair, as I like both his short and long hair! It looks like he might be sticking with the short hair, though, but I don't really mind! Riku looks badass either way!
