So most of us have seen the new Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 trailer, and boy it looks AMAZING! However, at the end we noticed that it told us to look for Kingdom Hearts III announcements this winter. Do you think this mean that Kingdom Hearts III won't be at E3, or are they just saying that the release date will be revealed in winter still leaving a spot for a trailer at E3? Let me know!

I honestly don't care. I am perfectly content with the new 2.8 trailer and the new demo footage that we'll get at E3. As well as all the other new games getting announced atE3.

i still think we'll get some KH3 information at E3. it's, like, one of the biggest gaming convention in the world they can't leave there without showing or telling us an update. we've gone about 6 months with no KH3 info so it would be good to get some kind of update

I think they're referring to release date news. I remember Nomura saying that they'd be able to release more info this year, but so far we've gotten very little. I'm not expecting a lot for E3 honestly, just another updated KH3 build trailer. 0.2 shows actual combat situations affecting Aqua's stats, which the last 2 KH3 trailers barely showed. So they'll probably have a new trailer that shows off more gameplay, I'm hoping for a story trailer though. 

Well, the trailer said 'announcements' so it looks like we won't be getting NEW stuff until December, but I don't think they'd go the whole E3 without SOME KHIII gameplay to tide us over, even if it's just more of the same.

The probability is low, but due to the wording there is still a possibility. Don't get your hopes up, though. 

 

One thing I will say is that the specifics of it are odd... something tells me we might actually get a release date this winter.

At JF a 2.8 trailer came attached to a KH3 trailer, so perhaps this is the same situation and they cut off the KH3 footage for E3. KH3 hasn't skipped 1 E3 since it was announced, it's always had trailers, at 2014 we got a teaser and 2015 a big traile and ofc 2013 was the announcement. 

 

 

This 2.8 trailer is the OFFICIAL E3 trailer, the trailer that SE would have shown off at E3, we just happened to get it early.

 

and it's relatively short. My guess is that logo of KH3 with the update isn't part of a 2.8 trailer but the end of a KH3 portion. Also, at the end of that portion the update "Announcements in winter" is basically a replacement for "Now in Development". An "Announcement" has nothing to do with a trailer but rather information about the game. Which could be a release window or confirmation of a KH3 "Unlocked" event in March 2017, the series 15th anniversary, where KH3 gets it release date.

 

 

I think there will still be some footage at the Sony conference, 1-2 minutes perhaps. But I won't be mad if there isn't.

that's what I was trying yo say in another thread similar to this, but I guess I didn't have enough evidence to prove it. Anyways, I agree with you. It probably won't have a trailer because it's already been there. We might get a small teaser just like in 2.8, but I think it's too late now. They would have put the teaser at the end of the 2.8 trailer if they wanted to tease the game

True, but I think that seeing the end of the trailer makes it hard to argue that we will see it at E3. However, I am doubtful, but you are right in saying hold off until we see so I will remain doubtful, but not count out.

I think they will show of 2 trailers in December or make a new world announcement possibly Toy Story since its still celebrating 20 years: 1 for the General Public and 1 Private Trailer for people who attend a possible Launch Event for 2.8 like what they did with 1.5 and 2.5.

 

They may show off something at their concerts as well to attendees in 2017.

 

But after that I think we will receive a 30 second/ 1 minute teaser at E3 2017. Due to one month later being D23 Expo in Anaheim.

 

They could possibly do a Kingdom Hearts Uncovered Event there like Final Fantasy XV due to it being the 15th Anniversary as well and they announce the official release date which i think could possibly September 2017. 

I think we still might. Cause we won't get it then at tgs.
