i was mostly just poking at you with that comment, hence the cat emote. I'm fine with KH evolving, they've been saying it since 3 ended that there would be major changes going forward, and we know this with the end of the dark seeker saga. i don't mind how everything looks so far, only specific gripes about sora's design specifically and then the blandness of quadratum. I've said it many times before but it looks too much like the ps3 era of games trying too hard to look realistic that they make everything grayscale and its not a fun look. you can have realism and still have color

coco's introduction makes me very happy because it looks incredible, so part of me is ready to accept that quadratum's grayscale is intentional but we won't know that fully until we get the game for ourselves

I mean if that was the case then i wouldn' thave liked KH1 and after as my first game was BBS that had a whole different character philosophy

Aqua was based on japanese maiden, Terra a samurai and Ventus a ninja with Eraqus being based of a shogun type

If it was really just about what my expectations were I would have dipped out of the series over a decade ago

Deviation isn't a bad thing, that is completely normal in so many works

But there is deviation and there is lack of resemblance to what a character is

Which is the latter of what I think Sora is lacking right now

my issue is when explanations are met with dismissal. So many times folks have mentioned how the look is temporary, Quadtratum's realistic designs is only for Quadratum, but its still met with "don't care don't like it - it ruins the character." Now look if you don't like the outfit, fine, if you don't like the realism, fine that's not my issue- it's the fact that the realism is being plainly used as an art direction choice and that notion is brushed off

Hes still 16 cause hes dead at that age. Hes not gonna be 20-25 years old unless kh5 and 6 did a time skip gap
