This I can see Nomura being mad about

Red as the main colour with yellow as a trim/highlight seems to be the ID for Sora's design for the post-2 entries, so I don't really see how they could expand the colours out too much before it starts to be too much like other characters designs (e.g. blue for Riku)

his official statement saying it was the company's decision and not himself stepping down is where i think a lot of fans can see the "emotional" part coming in

I feel like there's really not a huge difference between this and his 3 and 2 outfit- I mean yes, predominantly black, but that red pops out, there's all the yellow trim- i think it's a good compromise-- I'm not saying its good cause its all black or more mature or whatever but i think to me it feels like Sora in Quadratum and this is him holding onto himself or whatever

I guess that could be reasonable, but to me none of the outfits were ever Sora's decision to wear except KH1. Every outfit he gets after is something given to him by someone else. The three fairy's in Kh2, Yensid in KH3 and Xehanort (I think) in DDD. Based on the history of the series, that will most likely just be the case again and just be an outfit given (most likely) by Strelitzia, so whatever is going on here isn't going to be based off of what Sora is going through.

Which goes back to my point that Sora's outfit doesn't have anything to do with his persnonality because his outfits always makes him stand out no matter what, which isn't the case anymore
