Iago the Parrot's English voice actor is recording for an upcoming Kingdom Hearts title

Gilbert Gottfried, the English voice actor for Iago the Parrot in Aladdin (and previous Kingdom Hearts titles), has revealed via his Twitter account that he is currently recording lines for an upcoming Kingdom Hearts game. This is likely for the Kingdom Hearts Re:coded "HD Cinematic Story Videos" included in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX.

Update: Gilbert Gottfried has deleted the tweet. A screenshot of it can be seen below:

They... JUST STARTED...? -_- Wow. apparently they couldn't start while they were doing the cutscenes earlier. Not ripping on Mr. Gottfried here, I'm just saying Square could've made this process WAY faster.

It's possible they started earlier, I suppose, and just revealing it now. How long does it take for voice recording, anyway? (I know 1.5 was between January-May, since 1.5 was completely finished by E3 2013)

Well this is interesting and fantastic to hear we finally have some what real news about this game

(edited)

I guess they started then.

I remember reading somewhere the script was finished for the Japanese Version, so...

I guess the VA sessions were already finished in Japan. I guess then comes, translating the script for NA.

Since they are in the process right now and finished whenever they finish, It might come out around the corner? I'm trying not to predict the release date... I rather wait till they reveal it...

Now I'm thinking about that E3 thing.... -,.,- It's around the corner right?

then this must be the last few recording sessions

No way to know for sure. Although I reckon Iago wouldn't have many lines.

Okay now I'm pretty sure this game will come out in October or November.

E3 is coming, YEAH!

I hope they give us the release date. It seems to be not too far from here.

Great news!

what happened to the picture?

He deleted it.

Why are articles saying that this recording for Iago, is for Kingdom Hearts III?! It's insane to even think that English voices are being even worked on yet for Kingdom Hearts 3! When clearly we know that the next upcoming game is 2.5

Some people know nothing about Square Enix's 1st Production Department.
