Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is the final game before Kingdom Hearts III; Nomura explains why KH 2.8 will not come to PS3

Well, we just have to wait two more years... yay..... At least we are going to have a taste of the real cake in 2017!

Well if a KH2.9 wouldn't be until after KH3, what would it even be then? Some kind of post-preKH3 tease at the next saga after Xehanort? May as well just release a demo of KH3 about 3 months before it's release and title that 2.9, because at this point anything after KH3 should take place AFTER KH3. Well, hopefully Nomura's crypticism will  make more sense in the months to come. Until then I hope he will eventually answer when we can expect an English release of KH Unchained X.

And the reason why it isn't on the PS3 is the exact reason that I thought it was going to be, and again I knew this would be the last Kingdom Hearts game before Kingdom Hearts 3 so we know what will come next.  Man I just wish you guys would release the whole interview when it is fully translated reading it in these little parts like this make me what the whole thing even more I want it all now! lol

I'd still want to add a legit KH3 demo to that, because really that's going to be the only thing that will shut everyone up for the remaining months before KH3.

I cant handle all the excitement. 

Maybe 2.9 is a flashback in KH3. Or maybe it's the very prologue like Destiny Islands and Twilight Town in both KH1 and 2.

So looks like Zootopia and Moana cant be worlds . Oh well, time to ask them as summons instead

2.8 is going to be the final game before Kingdom Hearts III...so much hype!!!  This means that Kingdom Hearts III will probably be getting the 15th Anniversary treatment in 2017!  I couldn't imagine a more fitting time to release the game!  Oh God, this is going to be awesome! With Unchained X this year and 2.8 next year, the final steps on our ultimate, hype-ful journey shall be complete!  KINGDOM HEARTS III, I CAN FEEL IT, SO CLOSE, AND YET SO FAR!!!!

I know Nomura's been trolling us before but this time I hope he keep his word, Im ok with a 2017 release for KH3 as long as it's a worldwide release, we have waited just as long as Japan for KH3, but if I see a new announcement for a collection of 1.5 and 2.5 to PS4 before KH3 I will be really pissed off. Waiting 3 more years for KH3 would be way more worse than 2 years. 

There's a simple solution to this. Remove 0.2. Just release UX's cutscenes, and 3DHD. Or include a cutscene version of 0.2.I'd still buy it without 0.2 simply for 3D, so long as they lower the price a bit to be fair.

Not exactly. After all, DDD had a big hint at the HD collections coming, and those could be counted as titles. It was chronologically the last title to lead up to KH3, and even with 0.2 and X that still holds up as the main series revolves around Sora and Riku.
