A KH Game Could Work Well On The Switch
i'm totally fine with putting future KH games on other consoles, so long as they aren't exclusive. if SE pulled some garbage where the next game is exclusive to Switch then i'm probably gonna jump ship. i just don't know if i could justify buying another system at the moment just for one game.

Persona 4-Review.
it says a lot about a game (a lengthy JRPG no less) when i feel compelled to play it multiple times. i see JRPGs as huge time sinks so the idea of multiple playthroughs really doesn't sound appealing but wow man...first time i beat Persona 4 (i played the Golden edition) i was blown away. i started a second playthrough right away because there was more content to explore on New Game+ and then after that i continued to play new games. i loved it. if i had to make a top 10 list of favorite games it would for sure be on there.

What was your favorite Kingdom Hearts plot twist?
i said "Kairi's heart being inside Sora" because it wasn't too far out of a twist and you could pick up on it happening on a second playthrough. wasn't a twist that didn't make any sense. i also enjoyed the twist that Land of Departure was Castle Oblivion, just for the fact that i did not expect BBS to connect to Chain of Memories at all. totally came out of left field but was still a twist i liked. most of DDD's twists feel like cheap shots tbh

Which Nintendo Console(s) have you owned?
i have my dad's old N64, but personally i've stuck with the handhelds for the most part. i think Donkey Kong Country for GBA got me into Nintendo handhelds, and from there i just kept getting the next system. got the DS, but didn't buy the numerous versions that came out. I had a DS Lite. then i caved and bought a 3DS for KHDDD whenever it would come out. i almost bought a Wii U for Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze but i couldn't find enough games on the system that i was interested in to justify it. right now i'm on the fence about the Switch. the new Zelda and Mario look fantastic but right now idk if the other games coming out for it are up my ally. not mention i've got a lot of unbeaten games in my backlog and getting a new system would just increase the problem.

I don't think the mainline Final Fantasy series work as an Action RPG
honestly i don't see why a series like FF couldn't switch up from turn based to action oriented so long as either form isn't half assed. FFXV definitely seemed like it was taking a few baby steps to the action RPG genre, but it wasn't quite there. the combat, for one thing, is not fun. not bad, but not fun. i don't get a real sense of "action" from my action rpg. it feels like there's no weight to it. holding down circle just makes me feel less involved. and sure i could just press circle because that also works, and in fact that's what i was doing when i first started the game. it just got to a point that i couldn't feel the hits landing or having an impact and i just decided to settle for the automatic fighting style by holding down a single button until everything was dead. the most fun thing to do in combat is to warp strike and that's about it, and it's probably because it feels satisfying, unlike any other attack in the game. even the arminger(?) feels like swatting at flies because it's got no kick to it. look at games like God of War, Devil May Cry, or even Kingdom Hearts. something about those games make the combat satisfying. FFXV just feels floaty. You don't get a lot of feedback when you land a hit. You see the hit land (if the camera is having a good day) but you don't really feel it when it happens. as for party members, yea now that you mention it i don't think they've done anything to help me at all really. the team commands are about the most useful thing but the player is the one giving those instructions. the party members never feel like they're there, except when they repeat the same lines of dialogue in combat. and i'm pretty sure i've used more items on my team mates than i have on myself. i don't think Donald and Goofy were that bad. honestly i think id chalk up a big issue with the combat towards the environments. the camera is pretty bad and it can be pulled out so far you might as well just hold circle just to make sure you're at least still attacking. and christ help you if you want to fight something in an area with shrubs. so many times i'll go on a hunt for something and it'll be chilling in an area with some shrubbery and everytime the camera panics and gets stuck in the bushes and all i can see are numbers and sparks from attacks that i can't see land. it's awful. really, i think a mainline FF game could work as an ARPG but i think SE just need to fine tune it more and go all in on it, rather than try and retain gameplay elements from both genres. right now FFXV feels like ARPG-Lite. if they announced that the next mainline FF game was an ARPG i'd be fine with it, but i would just hope they actually turn it into a full on ARPG and not some strange half turn based/half real time thing.

"The Fairly Odd Phantom" Short Film
i watched this as i'm a fan of the Danny Phantom series and...well....it was OK. something felt off about it. The beginning scene where Danny and co. are catching those random ghosts felt very weird. maybe it was just me. i've actually had no exposure to TUFF Puppy so that was pretty jarring. I had no idea the main character acted like that, just based on what little promo art I had seen. Fairly Odd Parents was just annoying because i feel like the show won't go away and i was never the biggest fan (although i enjoyed the Jimmy Timmy Power Hour Specials). that new Bunsen cartoon doesn't strike me as something i'll watch and that's fine. seems a little too involved with the whacky and random humor style. although at least you'd be hard pressed to pick him out of a lineup of cartoons Butch Hartman has made lol. That thumbnail really shows the man has a style and sticks to it. either way it was nice to at least see those characters again, even if it was just a nothing special scene of them catching some generic ghosts.

Osaka Team and the Future of Kingdom Hearts
i've yet to play 0.2 but i'd really like to think the combat won't be as bad as it was in DDD.

Kingdom hearts 1 foreshadowing worlds of 0.2 ?
that's a mighty big stretch to make there, GamersJoint if anything, the logical assumption here is that KH1 influenced the world choices. isn't it a general understanding that Nomura has just been writing this series as he goes? if we took that into consideration then that just shuts down the entire video.

Which Kingdom Hearts game do you most want to see adapted into a manga?
i'll say KH3 just to have all the numbered ones adapted. runner up for me would be Chi just because a manga adaption might put the story in a more approachable format for me since the mobile game just wasn't doing it. also BBS would probably be good for an adaption.

Which is your favorite Kingdom Hearts title screen?
KH2. i like how the art is a callback to the original menu art form KH1, and the slow build up of Dearly Beloved. the fact that Yoko Shimomura even said she designed that version to give a feeling of "Welcome back..." just adds to the way it's presented on the menu. to top it off, the sound of the waves crashing which give it a sort of nostalgic and relaxing feel.

FF beginners for KH fans
well my first FF game was FFX and i enjoyed that one a lot. music was good and the story kept me interested. then i moved on to FFIX which remains one of my favorite JRPGs. the soundtrack is amazing and the story and characters and locations are all great. really, any game is a good game to start with since none of them are connected in terms of story.

Do you think we'll fight all of the Titans this time?
no excuse not to at this point, considering SE is now working with hardware more advanced than the PS2. i hope they really go all out with the Disney worlds in terms of spectacle.

Will they return in the Next Saga?
i wouldn't want Nomura to try and force them into the game just for the sake of having them. he ought to just keep the ones who are relevant to the story. KH4 ought to be completely stand alone from this current saga so any new fans can come in and not be blindsided by plot points they missed.

Which story should a Kingdom Hearts TV show follow?
it'd make the most sense to either do the first KH game or a spin-off series set during the Keyblade war with a whole new cast and possibly some small nods to the series here and there. a spin off would allow more creative freedom with the stories and people could still watch without needed to know the entire history of the series for context.
