    Happy 20th Birthday to One Piece!! 20 firetrucking years, holy shit!! All of my love and respect goes to Eiichiro Oda, the genius who created this piece of art so many years ago and who created the, in my eyes, best firetrucking manga of all the time, a manga that accompanies me in each day, in my heart and mind. Happy Birthday. :)

    So, it got announced that a live-action One Piece TV series is in the works... Yay... -_- When do people realise that live-action and anime/cartoon can't work out?

    I've honestly always thought about how cool it might be to try a One Piece live action adaption for the West, sort of a more Game of Thrones-y type long running serial that puts more emphasis on the darker parts of the pirate elements. It'd be a different interpretation and can could be done right with good execution. Same with visuals. I mean hey, Edge of Tomorrow worked out fine with a Hollywood budget.

    Also, Japan's made plenty of good live action anime adaptions themselves, so the idea isn't impossible to do that kind of thing right. It's just that Western audiences are more exposed to how it can be done wrong.

    Finally caught up with Tokyo Ghoul: re yesterday. Read over 80 chapters in two days xD What an awesome manga.

    The anime is... crap compared to the manga xD The first season is very rushed and leaves out a lot of good and important stuff. Also changes some parts. The second season has nothing to do with the manga anymore.

    So yeah, I would definitely say give the manga a try! The story is amazing imo, the characters are unique and most of them have a really fleshed out backstory and get some good character development. Nothing of this manga is in any way predictable which makes it even better :)
