    I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't think the battle between Ven and Vanitas happened at the same tome as teh battle between Aqua and Ventus-Vanitas. I think it took place between the time the x-Blade took on it's broken appearance after the Aqua batte and the time it shattered completely, with the shattering marking the end of Ven's battle. I know that's only a few seconds to a minute, btu that's usually howlong cut-scene battles take anyway.

    You're not the only one! My sis thinks this too and she talked me into believing it as well. It makes better sense when you consider that Vanitas couldn't have been focusing on two fights at once (or, y'know, maybe he could have, as crazy strong as he is), not to mention that the X-blade isn't broken, like you said, until after Aqua's fight.

    Oh, it's just that, well, I feel a little lonely lately. :/ The truth is, I do this online school now, and so I can no longer talk to my friends from the previous school. And my brother is always either hanging out with his friends or playing a 1-player game. It's sort of a prison for me. But I'll deal. It has its perks. :)

    So Final Fantasy XII really does seem to be one of the more mixed games in the series. People love it, and people hate it. I myself love it, but for the love of...Vaan. Please, do us a favor and do something to actually help the plot.

    Vaan is like Gon in HxH. Starts off with very little significance to the main plot of HxH, then later on he pretty much gains the main spotlight. (Then again, I never played FFXII.

    Vaan is pretty much the inverse of Gon. We start from his point of view, then other characters are introduced and he shifts to the back ground. I kind of wish they had stuck with Ashe the whole time.

    Vaan's kind of the main point of frustration for me in XII. Ashe is so clearly the main character, but for some reason, Vaan is squeezed into the spotlight.

    @Steven You really should play it. The story might not be very good, but everything else about it is great! Just be prepared to look at online guides for reference on certain things. Cough cough, Bazaar items, cough cough.

     

    @Dave Yeah. Actually, my boyfriend said it best. "It's like somebody made some fan character and forced Square Enix to include him".

    To be fair, I like Vaan as a character. Heck, he's actually pretty interesting. But he really didn't need to be included.

    Vaan's a good enough character, he's just not the best to anchor the game around, considering that nearly everyone else has more things at stake than he does.

    My drawings are terrible and I'm getting discouraged. Not to mention our teacher doesn't teach us anything. She just says, "Paint this!", and I'm supposed to know how to do it.

    You'll get better eventually when you practice. Teaching art and how to paint is hard since there's no universal method that works for everyone. I never managed to get the whole drawung circles and squares to draw humans stuff. I still manage though and so will you.

    Thanks. Though my class is mostly about coloring instead of drawing. Which means that she could at least show us how to create light and shadow effectively... :/

    I agree with that. There are a few things which can be taught and shadows and lighting are definitely part of them. Your teacher could show you examples and then explain if she cannot do it without help :D In the end, art teachers usually don't present possible solutions but rather encourage doing it yourself first. Which is not helpful.
