Merilly repliedI think by now they should already know. They have people who are responsible for social media and public relations and I somehow doubt they'd be oblivious to such an uproar.
If those leaks are legit, they can't really confirm it without fans demanding more on the topic. And if they're false, they never really made an effort to say anything about these leaks...
BlankShell repliedYeah, the best policy on this is always silence. That way when future "leaks" crop up (legit or not) then they're consistent in their approach.
Merilly repliedYep, and let's say there is a Monsters Inc. world but the screenshots shown were still fake. Such a coincidence may be unlikely but there's all this unnecessary explaining to do then. In their case, unless there's really a massive problem arising from such information (like back at D23), silence is indeed golden. This way, they won't say anything which could be misunderstood and it doesn't make much of a difference for us.

I found out on Google translate that "Umaga" is actually a Fillipino word which means "Morning". But it couldn't find out what it meant in Samoan.

So yesterday night I saw The Last Jedi... What an abonimation I had to take anti depressants + pain killers (I went through my back 2 days early to because of a giant christmas present so I don't blame the movie for that one) and sleeping pills... What was Disney thinking?

Merilly repliedSomething which bothered me is the reflection of the Unversed boss. There's something reflected which isn't really part of it.
Apart from that, it would be nice to at least get some clarification, but at the same time, anything toward it being real would only result in some fans pestering SE for new info even more.
And if it's fake, some will probably direct their disappointment at them again. =_=

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been online these past couple of days! You see, in preparation for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which I'll go see on Sunday, I've been marathoning the entire Star Wars saga! The hype is real!

@Awesome Sauce. Oh, believe me, I avoided spoilers like the plague.
@DevilSpooky. I actually enjoyed the film very much! I don't get why people hate on it so much. It did things differently, that's a good thing!
DevilSpooky repliedThe movie strats with a "your mama" joke... What killed it for me was the stupid jokes, like the one on the beginning, the shirtless Kylo and the iron... It's like I was watching a parody. And it was the sidestory, it was just boring and didn't bring anything to the movie other than drag it, the second part of the movie was ok though, and some little parts where bloody awesome, it's just the bad parts where really, really bad...
The Transcendent Key repliedYou gotta admit, though, Rey and Kylo facing off against Snoke's Praetorian Guard was a beautifully choreographed battle scene! Probably one of the best battles I've seen in the franchise since the duel with Maul in Phantom Menace and Anakin vs. Obi-Wan in Revenge Of The Sith!

DevilSpooky repliedFor one part it was a beautifull analogy of how the force can bloom in even the most unlikelly of places and goes with what Kylo said about Rey, for another it just felt as Anakin's story 2.0. The part of the rebelion felt a little forced, it doesn't make sense how the first order became so dominant of the galaxy in just a short time, it took the Empire years until it became what it was on Episode 4, and that was with everything planned by Palpatine, here they went from a small force...
The Transcendent Key repliedAh, I see what you mean. Well, we'll have to wait two years from now to see just how the First Order is ended. And you're right, I thought it awesome that even though the galaxy has turned out as it has, there is still a strong presence of the Force wherever anyone is. Like with the boy! I loved how the classical Binary Sunset theme played there, it was very symbolic! The Last Jedi was definitely one heck of an entry in the Star Wars franchise!

DevilSpooky repliedLets just hope, unfortunetely situations like those tend to have a huge impact on the final product, but since they pretty much had to start over, basically from scratch, maybe it's salvageable.
The Transcendent Key repliedWell, look at Rogue One. That film went through various reshoots as well, and it turned out to be an amazing film, so I say that we don't have to worry about Solo too much, ya know?
DevilSpooky repliedBut Rogue One didn't had it's director fired midway and a complete overall of the final script, nor did it had to do reshots because the lead actor just wasn't up to the task, Solo had major problems, and unless they take really care to fix those the movie may end up becoming a complete mess.
