I almost got a car accident today by a idiot that got hes driving license from a cereal box. He cutt me off and I needed to slam my brakes to avoid collision. uhh my heart was pounding in my throat because of this dude.

PUBG is nominated for GOTY it's not even a finished game and Neir isn't nominated at all either ugh I guess it's great that Persona 5 is nominated but with Mario and Zelda nominated as well it won't win which is sad because IMO Persona 5 has the best story, characters, music, UI, everything, oh well maybe it will win another award it's nominated for...
Merilly repliedI wouldn't be too disappointed about it. These things are always based on opinions which are more or less subjective. Of course they correspond to popularity and sales as well, but in the end, they can only offer a selection for each category. And even then, opinions will differ greatly. P5 received the recognition it deserved from the fans, an award changes nothing about the fact that it's a great game.

I know a lot of people who never played a Persona game before did get this one I just want people to know about this series because it's really an amazing series and I honestly don't think a game will ever make me feel the way I did when I was playing Persona 5 for a long time, maybe when and if Persona 6 comes out but that's a long ways away

Merilly repliedI can understand that sentiment. Despite having a fairly large fanbase, it still doesn't compare to the fanbases of other RPGs, which is a shame. Though admittedly, being GOTY may not have changed that anyway... I feel like a lot of the people who vote there would know about Persona already and it probably won't change their opinion on the game or the franchise.
Merilly repliedI think one of the reasons may be that P5 leans heavily toward an anime-based style, which just isn't everyone's cup of tea to begin with, no matter how great its foundation is with OST, story, gameplay, etc. It's hard to get people to play a game when they just don't like anything remotely anime/manga-based... Which still has a stigma in the west despite its growing popularity.

BlankShell repliedPUBG has accessibility going for it, which tends to give games a huge advantage in that regard. But it's not like there's ever one "true" GOTY. And Persona 5 is amazing, so there.
