    So replaying lightning returns after i purchased the dlc. Doing a dlc playthrough. Only using dlc items. Usingsohei savior with excalibur and guardians protector soldior 1st class with buster sword and soldior's band and spira's summoner with summoner's staff and summoner's sheild :)

    All I remember is what I saw as a kid up to when May came in, whatever season or whatever that was. Spent the whole time thinking was "this is stupid, it's nothing like the games, Ash is an idiot, he's so terrible at this".

     

    Point being, Pokemon anime sucked for a long time. I'm not surprised if it sucks again.

    Yeah, I only recently started watching Pokemon again. But apparently the XY one was the best in a long time, or maybe even the best of all. Ash was really mature and everyone admired him. Now he's a dumb child again -.-

    I do keep hearing about how high quality the animation of for XY and Ash actually came close to winning a league for once in his life. It certainly sounds better than the old stuff. I totally get your disappointment if the new one's bad.

    Just seems like they're aiming for a younger audience to me, everything is so childish.

    The anime missed their one and only opportunity to give long time Pokémon fans the resolution that we wanted while also allowing the newer generation to get this over the top childish crap. They could have easily have had Ash win the league just this one time, have him settle down with Serena and have a timeskip 20+ (in honor of Pokémon 20th anni) with ash and serena having a kid who gets his own pikachu. We could have had an understandable reason for reverting back to a childish tone, while...

    I find that listening to calming music helps. Going on walks, doing anything that clears your mind, is generally helpful. I write as a hobby myself, so I know how bad writers block is.
