February 26, 20178 yr Guess Richard Epcar might've been flustered when seeing his script by the amount of time he has to say the word "Darkness"
February 26, 20178 yr Probably because Square Enix are still working on those scenarios, with the character models, their movement, etc. Plus, we did hear that there are some worlds that hasn't been touched up yet, but I think they are working on them ever since that day we found out about this information. February 26, 20178 yr I'm not trying to be a conspiracy theorist or doubt The 13th Kenpachi, but how much weight should we put on this? With the way contracts are nowadays, maybe they're not allowed to say ANYTHING about KH3, not even talk about it until their characters are officially revealed.Again, not trying to make this bigger than it actually is, but isn't it possible they're contractually obligated to deny involvement?
February 26, 20178 yr I can only compare real voice acting work with my youtube videos which are about 20 minutes each, so considering the approximat amount he has to say It takes around 2-4 working weeks for each game which is just my personal estimate. it also depends how big his role will be in the third game. I can imagine that it sucks when an actor has to drive/fly all the way to the studio just for one or two lines like Pat caroll had to in KH2.8

Some things there must have been changed.

February 26, 20178 yr who knows, maybe voice work is the last thing they do or maybe they do specific voices first since bill farmer said he was done with voice work

February 26, 20178 yr My reaction was shock at first, but then again, Nomura has said they haven't even touched some worlds yet so it isn't that much of a surprise thinking about it that way.

Again, not trying to make this bigger than it actually is, but isn't it possible they're contractually obligated to deny involvement? This is possible, but I don't know if they'd go so far as to lie about it as they did (especially in Quinton's case, where he said, "I can honestly say no." Honestly? If it were dishonest I feel he could've at least been a bit more vague, rather than try to convince everyone that he's being honest.). It's also possible that they may not answer the tweets rather than give dishonest answers. It's tough to say and I can see where you're coming from, but I kind of don't think that they've done any voice recordings yet. However, I'm not too alarmed or surprised by this. I believe it is usually the voice acting that is done at the last of the project, and normally it doesn't even take that long, so I don't think that this is an indicator that KHIII is going to take longer than we're assuming.
February 26, 20178 yr Well we know for a fact that the cast rarely, if ever, gets to voice together, so it makes sense that some would be waiting while others may have gotten an early start. And there's always the chance that any scenarios involving their characters haven't been finalized yet, so that will probably have to come first. In any case, it's not like no voice acting has taken place at all, just as far as these two are concerned it'll probably be a while before they're called in.

I agree, I can not imagine they have not gotten some recordings done, mainly for some of the Disney characters that appear only in their world. I am highly assuming that, based off the screenshots we have received, that Olympus is most likely done, voices and all. I'm willing to bet the Tangled world is also done, so I would guess the voices needed for the Disney characters from these worlds have to have been completed. That's less work they have to deal with later down the road.
February 26, 20178 yr I doubt they even have written all the lines in Japanese, let alone translate them into English.
February 28, 20178 yr Man, I hope Quinton Flynn and Richard Epcar reprise their roles. Their voices are so iconic, and so fitting, for the characters they portray. Just to be clear, was Ansem SOD the only character that Richard Epcar voiced?
March 3, 20178 yr Thanks for showing this to us, Shinobi! Hmm, so neither of them have done any voice work for Kingdom Hearts III, eh? Well, I'm not too worried, since I believe voice acting has been done on par with game development, and I'm sure that the most important characters voice recording sessions are being saved for last, ya know? I'm sure that by halfway through this year, voice work for the important characters will take place, ya know?
Neither has Richard Epcar
