Would you have preferred that this game had never been made and instead, there would be faster development of every other game out there? I feel that way because it had no plot and was the worst Kh game I have played.

it was decent i mean the system wasn't the best but the storyline was good i mean hey its roxas :3

It was my first KH game and I'm glad it existed. It does have a plot. This plot + ReCoded plot + BBS plot = KHDDD plot that will lead to KH3 plot. Every game was done with a different purposes. 358/2 Days' purpose is to show us the hearted-being of Roxas as well the frienship relation with Axel. The second purpose of the game is to give us some explanation of what happened in KH2. The game shouldn´t be treated as a main game. If we treat Days as a spin-off game, it reached its objective, being a spin-off game. For some reason, Nomura wanted to tell us this story, for some reason the game was made and for some reason the game exists.

However, I agree with you, the game is not the best, but it is good in its own way. It is just matter of perspective.

I enjoyed it. Yes it could get quite repetitive sometimes in terms of the missions. Nevertheless though, I still enjoyed playing the game. I don't think it was a waste but, some parts could've been a lot better.

i enjoyed as well yeah doing some of the missions were kind of boring but i still like to play cause its a kh game i like how they added xion to it and when i played kh2 i was wondering what did roxas go through before that when they were showing all of his flashbacks on kh2 and how he and axel became friends so i'm glad they came out with it people complain about the graphics alot what did you expect its for the ds and it had pretty good graphics for the ds the cutscenes even looked good even though most were from kh2 people just say it suck because its not easy like kh2 not every kh game can be the same come on man the graphics the story the gameplay suck cause they dont know how to play just like they complain about re com using cards and re coded oh well dont play it dont talk about how it sucks i wish they would remake though with like ps3 graphics re coded too and add a secret ending to days cause this is the only kh game doesnt have one and that bothers me

By far my least favorite KH game. .w.

pretty much the only things i didnt like about it was that it wasnt easy to manage through the commands, that the graphics werent that great (but i know thats because of limited space on the system), and at seemed rather boring with the missions, i mean like 'go the agrabah and collect hearts', 'go to wonderland and fight the heartless', it was sooo tedious...

Personnally, because I didn't understand the panels, the gameplay sucked for me. I only played most of the game for the cutscenes.

I thought it was pretty decent, it did get a bit tedious and repetetive, but the ending totally made up for it in so many ways. It really made the game.

Honestly, I would have to say yes. 358/2 Days was a great game. And the storyline was much better than Re:coded's. This game is totally awesome :D. I think I might play it right now.

i loved everything about it. my first ever kH game. the first game I got 100%... and then I lost it at school, somehow.

The graphics were great for a first try at the DS, the battle system was decent, the challenges were... challenging, too challenging, the missions in my opinion never got old. I loved playing as Roxas, I loved being friends with Axel and Xion, and the game really touched me. KH would NOT be the same without it if you ask me. I'd never have gotten into KH, to tell the truth.

EDIT: I'm obviously Sure J Severe will be offended, just as I was.

I beat it in three days, and loved it. I was a little upset without he graphics, but I don't play games for graphics or battle systems. I actually play them for the storylines.

I enjoyed it. I was very impressed by the 3D world on the DS. I haven't seen another game on the DS that had as open of an environment, though I think 'Grand Theft Auto Chinatown' does but I never played it. I agree that the storyline was better than Coded's. I also enjoyed the stat panel. The abilities catered to my fighting style better than BBS did, but the battle system was still painfully the same as KH and KHII. I just wish more of the scenes had been pre-rendered instead of with the cruddy animation with speech bubbles. There were a lot of good scenes that deserved better animation.

Overall, I thought it was a good game for a spin-off. I think more of the problem is this stigma everyone has created around the parts of the story they didn't like. But, yeah, the game was before BBS and Re:Coded so it didn't get the new battle system unfortunately.

So 358/2 Days was your first game (KH of course)?

So 358/2 Days was your first game (KH of course)?

i don't think I have to answer that.

I loved it. Not technically my first Kingdom Hearts game, but it was the first one I owned and beat. I personally never found the missions to be that repetitive that I got bored and quit (except for those ungodly Emerald Serenade missions). I rather liked the mission system, though I would have liked a "Free Roam" type thing, where you could just go and mess around in different worlds without any barriers and bring along any organization member (that's still alive after C.O.). The story was truly the high point of this game for me, tied with CoM for my second favorite KH story (I haven't played BbS, so I don't count it). And compared to the other KH DS game (Re:coded), its story was amazing.

The panel system I sometimes found frustrating, but I never found it confusing or overwhelming. I feel it added a bit more strategy, and you had to be more careful what you equip and where you equip it. The battle system was fun and easy, if not a bit on the mindless button mashing side.

Indeed, if you could just take the best things from Re:coded, namely the stat matrix and battle system (and possibly those sprite based cutscenes), Days would have been a completely amazing game for the DS. In my opinion, Days was better than Re:coded.

I agree I play the games for their storyline not for graphics or battle. Of course I do like to battle.

I absolutely love the game. If it wasn't for this game, I would have never gotten Kingdom Hearts. I wouldn't have heard of it.

this game was awesome. it showed back story on organization 13 and help clear up some confusing parts within kingdom hearts 2.

It was the better of the DS games. It had its problems, but it was still fun

Yes, it was pretty good. Could have been better though.

If it was for PS2 and used the normal stat system it woulld be fine.

this is my favorite game. i luv the story, (ive had almost every ds since the first one and still play and buy ds games) so i think that the graphics are probably if not the best ds graphics ive ever seen on the ds. and for haters whove only played a couple or no ds games b4 this one, try to find another ds game that promises 3d graphics and delivers them this well. i hate it that people complain about the story an later they say that u dont understand it. thats no reason to hate a game and if u dont understand it thats on u, NOT the game. i understand it down to the stuff that drives most people (and my sister whoes just started playing it and cant figure some of the stuff thats confusing and i tell her and then she gets it) crazy. if you dont understand, put up a postso some one who does can explain it to u. i mean in other kh games, people didnt understand things and you dont see them hating on the game. and another thing! i was talking with my sister about this the other day.

i remember when it first came out so many people hated it cause it was nothing like the other kh games. (revisiting worlds, gettng involved in them, and so on) well i said something in the heat of it all that i should have pointed out then. this game wasnt meant to be like the other games. it was meant to give u a look into the world and lives of the organization. thats like starting another game with new rules and everything! cause organization life is completely difernt from the way sora and company was doing things. you wanted a window into what roxas was doing in the organization, you got it. you complain about repeatative missions, that was what he was doing. thats what you bought the game for, was to see life in the organization and what happend to roxas and axel and everything leading up to kh2. so why are you complaining? what did you expect?

then the people who say the game series could have gone on with out it. these are the people who piss me off the most. if there was no days, we would have no reason for why roxas really left the organization, why he wanted to meet sora, why he had all these strange dreams, why soras restoration took so long and how much it helped the plot of kh2. with out it we wouldnt know why kingdom hearts was so close to completion by the time of kh2 or with out all of the secret diaries of the organization have more insite into what was going on at castle oblivion. and to those who havent read them, read them theyre super juicy with spoilers. and one last thing. if you dont understand the game, read the novels at heartstation.org. it explains a lot of things that took me a while to understand as well as give u a better look into the organizations lives if you a huge organization 13 fan like me.
