As for my unpopular opinion:

 

I believe that women should be allowed to wear whatever they want, hell the should be able to shirtless if guys can too, and not be called sluts. They should be able to sleep with who they want, WHEN they want. They aren't hurting you or anyone else so why make them feel bad and call them sluts.

It's not your life and it isn't your business. No need to make someone feel horrid.

Seriously, I may have not been there when it happened but I don't think that the Pilgrams ate a Turkey that they cooked from the fire of a burning long-house. Hell they practically threw the feast for the Indians.

I think Marajuana should be legalized, because its impossible to die from it, and it cant harm your body like manmade drugs/alcohol.

I really don't like how the education system and teachers are stating that doing your homework means you're smart, and if you don't do it you're a moron. Kids these days follow that same saying, so they do all their work. That's good and all, but then they start demoting others because they didn't do their homework. Doing homework doesn't affect your intellect at all, it only affects your responsibility. Nothing else, and then people say "It's stupid to not do it." No it isn't, either the person is lazy or just not that responsible, not that they aren't that smart. You can be smart yet lazy.

 

Lets not forget this at a person who only didn't do 1 or 2 assignments.

Agree. Though I believe that the whole school system is screwed and mess up. Teachers are one of things that I dislike in this world with criminals and people who murder. Too many of them got into my head and other people's head that I was dumb and idotic and that they were dumb and not smart, when they were just because they didn't do the work they were asked to do, they just couldn't be stuffed reading a dull textbook or the most borning novel in the whole universe.

 

They are nothing but adult bullies.

I agree with you 100%. Homework, in my opinion, is just to practice a certain skill you learned that day.

I agree that doing homework doesn't mean your smart, but I have a comment to make. The bold text is to what I am referring. If there is one thing homework does, it teaches responsibility. It sucks, I know, but you will very likely need this in whatever the heck you do in life. You will not make it anywhere if you don't do work because you're lazy or not responsible. In a way, homework helps to condition you for a typical job. Personally, I've never seen people make fun of others for not doing their homework, but I don't have trouble believing it could happen. Also, not doing homework can just make life harder, for reasons you describe. This too conditions you for real life, if you don't do your work, you will get scolded (no matter how pointless the work given to you may be).

 

I don't disagree with what you said. Doing homework certainly doesn't make you intelligent, and it is really just a matter of how lazy or responsible you are. What I was attempting to say was that the responsibility homework trains you to have can indeed help you in-life, perhaps even more so than the content of the homework. I agree with you also.

The point to my post is that homework ≠ intelligence. Responsibility does help a lot during jobs, which is why I said that not doing homework only shows that you aren't that responsible as you can be.

It's not really the teachers fault, it's really the ones above them. I forgot what they call them atm, but you know when teachers go to meetings, they discuss how to teach the student? Yeah head of the department of education tells them how to teach it to see how it works. Some teachers believe that homework = intellect. Others I don't know, but they don't say that homework = intellect.

 

Saying "You should do your homework!" is different from "Homework reflects your intelligence."

 

Sadly, this was taught during Elementary School. There are people who know the difference between being smart and being responsible, and there are others who follow what they have been told during their childhood.

Middle school and High school teachers for me, don't say that, but they do say you should do your homework which is correct, you should.

Missing 1 or 2 assignments isn't a big deal, but missing 8 will affect your grade.

Doing homework is doing your work in a job. If you aren't doing work then you don't get paid. If you don't do your homework you don't get a good grade.

Don't lie to yourself and say "Single life is the best!". It's not, really. Deep down, you know you want someone by your side for the rest of your life. Just don't lie to yourself and make an effort to find a partner who you really love, no matter how bad the situation is.
