I mean, that's a VERY elaborate plot just to get Sora to serve you, especially considering all you want him to do is keep collecting hearts. And that you already HAVE two keyblade wielders...

And I mean, it's shown that Namine can affect Sora and those related to him from any distance, so why draw him in at all? Why invite him to KILL you? Why botehr with all this memory stuff, and card stuff, adn all this acting? It's almsot as if Org XIII is more interested in theatre than their actual goals.

No....they had to get Sora close enough to get his memory and change it so much that he would turn to serve Org XIII but if they filled the place with heartless and didnt reveal their presence and just had him get hearts I think that would've been a better plan

They trying to get Sora on Org 13 to complete their goal for KH, But I no the real reason, but its spoilers, so cant say nothing.

They are fricking bored and wanna tick people off. They finished reading diaries of Org 13 gave out embarrassing secrets in public and now they have nothing to do so, they went to Castle Oblivion to make Sora go insane.

Because they are antagonists and thats just how they roll.

Honestly, I do believe there is a mindset which believes if a villain has concocted a scheme which has several moving parts, they are made to look more intellegent than they might actually be. Simply going out there, bashing Sora on the noggin and using a mind-control spell of sorts (I'm certain there's at least one running around) would work, but because the Organization's appeal is that they're sneaky an conniving, it makes them look better in thier own context if their plans are complicated and potentially confusing to the average person. This plan of Marluxia's can give the impression that he can micromanage the wills of others, predict possible outcomes and plot for them, and make him look in control against total strangers. Even with Zexion running around in the basement, the game tries to make him look more potent by having him sit around and plot: this plotting accomplishes very little, but it's the act of plotting that matters, because it makes the viewer think that these guys are truly on to something big, and thus should be taken very seriously.

 

Really, it's all about keeping up appearances.

Because having back-ups is a good idea, especially if this way Sora would actually think that he was doing something good, protecting someone he cared about, and promised to protect. This is an advantage over the other Keyblade wielders in that they were doing this because, well, that was their job, they had no reason to care strongly one way or another.

Why antagonize him at all? Sora is a trusting fellow and if Marly had invited him for a spot of tea up in the castle and chatted him up Sora probably would've trusted him. It would have been as easy as lying to him about Riku and how he swung by sometimes to make him stay and telling him that the castle is magic and unlocks important memories that unlock certain powers or something and that's why Riku comes to convinces Sora to stay even more. Then it would just take Repliku passing as the real Riku to trick Sora and co. into staying and if he convinces Sora that if they stay they can unlock an ability that'll take them home to Kairi, since they're unable at the moment anyway. And with all the backstabbing going on among the members and Axel there specifically to stop the traitors Sora and Co might have been fine anyway even if Sora fell for their schemes like a rock. Then there's of course Namine who's doing things against her will but eventually grows a back bone and says "bonk this!" her self.

As there's always a bigger plan behind all the plots it was most likely a test (of Sora's ability) and to rid the traitors. Either way Xemnas couldn't lose, cause if Sora failed, he himself died, if he succeeded he wouldn't have to deal with them himself.

They are villains and they were just doing their regular villain stuff and being evil

It was easier to trick Sora than everything, so they lured him there. They still had to search for where Ven was, so they used there. And maybe Namine's powers could be bigger here?(Just guessing)

Getting Sora out of the way would be HUGE for them, and adding another way to obtain hearts would speed things up. Cards are just another way of playing, I don't think that has anything to do storywise. Their plan was almost flawless, weren't for Axel to release Namine, Sora would be a puppet by now. And the Organization loves to act, and they do have emotions, as shown in the last game

The whole plot of the organization is nonsense anyway I'm more concerned about why NAmine can mess with Sora's memory, I always have thought that Namine is more like another Sora's nobody.
