God, I hate people like that. Really? You're going to steal what another worked hard for, while all you do is sit around taking things that don't belong to you?

I really hope it wasn't actually stolen, and someone does the right thing and returns it. If it was stolen, there's not much chance she'll get it back...

Ah, well, sorry to hear that. Make sure she calls all her credit card companies to freeze her account and report the theft to the police. Thats all you really can do. Next time she shouldnt carry all her savings on her...

I'm not atheist or anything but if you look at the side of reality, praying doesn't really do anything. It gives us faith and hope and stuff like that, but it doesn't do any magical wonders sadly.

If your mom had any credit cards or debit cards, or anything like that, make sue she cancels them so she doesn't get some kind of debt. If you want to be nice to help your mom get the money back, maybe you could get a job? Idk its your choice.

Personally, i don't really think it's that big of a deal, no offense but you see, things like that can easily be regained over time but if was something very serious like a knife crime then yeah but it wasn't so yeah.

I'm so sorry to hear that! That happened to my mom once, but it was close to Christmas time when it happened, and it really dampened everyone's spirits. I'll keep you in my prayers, and hope that everything turns out just fine.

Things like this tend to happen a lot.

 

I know a person that got mugged like that as well, and she froze all of her accounts.

 

But I don't know what a person can do when his/her driver's license is stolen.

She only has 9 dollars in her checking account Also,I'm kind of getting the feeling I shouldn't have posted this for some reason.But it was just her ID/drivers liscense,besides that and the money nothing else was in there.

well, for her ID and driver's license, she can probably get new ones without too much difficulty.

as for the actual wallet, you're never going to see it again. When somebody steals something, they don't intend to ever give it back. That's why it's called 'stealing' and not 'borrowing'. You should report it to the police anyway, just to cover all of your bases.

as I believe was suggested somewhere above me, if you'd like to help your mom get her money back and at your age it'll be somewhat difficult to get a job, you could probably babysit or walk your neighbors' dogs. You can be creative and think of some other stuff, too.
