Today at Tokyo Game Show 2012, Square Enix have announced a HD collection of Kingdom Hearts titles, named Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5 ReMIX-. The collection includes Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hears 358/2 Days, all for the PlayStation 3. Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Re:Chain of Memories will be HD remasters, and have trophy support, while 358/2 Days will simply be cutscenes remade into HD for a Theatre Mode. The release date as this stage is simply 2013.

Update 1: Message from the KINGDOM has provided us with more information about Kingdom Hearts for PC Browsers. Oishii from KH13 is translating this information, and you can read it below.

In memory of this year being the 10th Anniversary of the "Kingdom Hearts" series, we are compiling a collection of the first works "Kingdom Hearts" and "KH Re:Chain of Memories" in HD. Furthermore, 2009’s Nintendo DS game "KH 358/2 Days", which received much credit for its enjoyable story, will be compiled as well.

 

“Kingdom Hearts” (first work) game’s later release with various additional content “KH Final Mix” (Japanese language release) will receive an entire HD rendition.
With the two HD remakes, we will add fully remade HD event scenes from Nintendo’s DS game “KH 358/2 Days”. This remake will give a new feeling to the series, and the 3 editions to the series will be a collection you should look forward to.

Furthermore, KH and KH Re:CoM will also support PlayStation 3's trophy system.

Xbox 360 does use HD DVDs. The highest resolution DVD supports is roughly 720 x 576. While Xbox 360 games are in HD.

HD-DVD format ist dead. It was used in an HD-DVD player which had to be bought separetely. It was for movies only. 720 x 576 is for DVD video only but it is all about capacity and a Xbox 360 game isn't a video DVD. Dual layer means 8.5 GB capacity, enough for 720p video sequenzes upscaled to 1080p(i) or games like Farcry 2 or Mafia II (and it says DVD on the disc).

I am quit possible the biggest supporter/fan of kingdom hearts and I really do hope with all do respect to square enix the have a USA HD collector's edition because they will loose lots of fans but they will never loose this wielder no matter what happens and if they don't I'll just import the game cuz the best deserves the best.

I hope so too. I hope that it's going to be like birth by sleep, playable by sora, riku and kairi with each theire own storyline. It should definitely have the same attack deck like in dream drop distance

Geez has no one been watching the 1.5 news? They have begun recording English dialogue for English release. It's gonna be an international release. Even if it's not, PS3 games are region free. So if it's only released in the US, we, Euro's, Aus' and NZ's can just order it online from an overseas game shop, or create an American PlayStation Network (PSN) account and buy it on their PSN store. But I think it will be international.

This better be coming to the United States seriously kh3D is good but this HD collection is off the chain in terms of content trophy support seems massive in my eyes. Bring this to the United States don't exclude us we deserve as much as anyone eles ya fools ya fools

True, but there are additional scenes in the Final Mix that had no voice over, and they also need to voice the scenes for Days.
