So, do you think he will be back for KH3?

Featured Replies

Definetely.

If he comes back though, I see it most likely being as one of the 13 darknesses.

Probably. Nomura most likely wants each and every Kingdom Hearts original character in KH3. A lot of them were in DDD.

Absolutely. I would like him to return as a villain, but a villain apart from Xehanort; he sort of realizes that he was used by Xehanort and was never really anything more than a tool to the man. He would return to seize the power of Kingdom Hearts for himself, not for his former master.

Of course I realize that what I just said is never going to happen. He'll probably wind up as a vessel/Darkness. I can't wait to hear the conversation when he and Sora meet.

Yep, he is a strong character, and he have so many fans! :)

No doubt about it.

I want to see His and Sora's reactions when they meet each other so... yeah! :3

I really want him to come back, it was nice that we got him for a bit in DDD, I want him to be a boss again (cause I love his boss battle music) and I want him to mess around with people's heads by going around and telling everyone that he's Sora. Most likely if he does come back though he'll be a darkness like others are saying.

Hell yeah I wanna see that sexy beast back. cB

That would make for an interesting boss battle between Sora and Co. vs Vanitas, so I wouldn't mind seeing him back.

The fanservice is strong in Vanitas, so.......ya.

I'd actually like to see him be the one to kill Xehanort. It would be shocking, that's for sure

Vanitas will come back and stab MX in the back taking over his spot as the main villian.

It's like.... you guys GET me.

Without a doubt ^^ But if he doesn't appear in KH3, I will go down to Japan and poke Nomura with a fork.

I kind of want to see him kill everyone off. :3

It doesn't make sense for him to come back, unless Ventus' heart is split again (poor kid).

It is, however, almost confirmed by his brief appearance in 3D, and by the fact that he's a fan-favorite.

YES YES YES & YES! <3

Just picturing this in my head...Vanitas would straight up kill Donald and Goofy. No hesitation. Then laugh at the look on Sora's face.

That WOULD be interesting. ;)

I definitely hope Vanitas'll come back in Kingdom Hearts III. They never quite elaborated on what happened to him and, given his appearance in DDD, I'd think they'd need to bring him back for III.

For the people hoping for big things from Vanitas in future titles, like killing Xehanort and what not, can we look at his track record?

He challenges Aqua to a fight in Radiant Garden... and loses.

He challenges Ven in the Keyblade Graveyard... and loses.

He challenges Aqua again in Neverland... and loses.

He crafts the X-Blade... and it breaks.

He gets finally gets inside Ven's heart... and fails.

He unleashes the Unversed... and they are completely inneffectual.

Let's face it, kids, he's not very good at this villain thing.

In fact, on the last point, know who else goes around to different worlds and leaves a variety of enemies behind to cause mischief? Pete. Only Pete actually has streaks of success, like managing to turn Scar into a Heartless (no matter how the outcome of the world, this was his goal, and it worked), assisting in opening the Underdrome, and the Heartless he leaves lying around seem to do more substantial damage than Vanitas's Unversed.

In other words, Pete is a more effective villain than Vanitas.
