July 4, 201312 yr That was a bit harsh! Well, he is one of the darkness.Don't worry though, he grows on you.And also, I suspect Yen Sid may have wiped away their memories O_O Edited July 4, 201312 yr by Col.Random
July 4, 201312 yr Ducks and dogs arnt known for having great memories remember that was over 10 years agoHaha... I oddly find this to be true.
July 4, 201312 yr It has to do with the fact that even though Kingdom Hearts 2 takes place after Birth by Sleep, it was made AFTER Kingdom Hearts. Kind of like Star Wars IV a new hope was made in 1977, while Star Wars I the phantom menace came out in 1999.

July 4, 201312 yr Ducks and dogs arnt known for having great memories remember that was over 10 years ago This, the same reason they don't recognize Roxas.
July 4, 201312 yr The only solution I came up with when I thought about it was that since Donald and Goofy went into sleep along with Sora, they simply forgot. It's not good, but it seems somewhat logical
July 4, 201312 yr Author It has to do with the fact that even though Kingdom Hearts 2 takes place after Birth by Sleep, it was made AFTER Kingdom Hearts. Kind of like Star Wars IV a new hope was made in 1977, while Star Wars I the phantom menace came out in 1999. But, I don't buy that because I've been playing through the series and there are SOOO many little references made to games that would be made years later. Story wise? I'm gonna hit you. KH2, story wise, takes place 11 years BBS This. This, the same reason they don't recognize Roxas. They never met Roxas. They met Ventus.

July 4, 201312 yr Author They saw Roxas in the picture though, and I think again near the end of kh2. Yeah but they saw that picture AFTER Yen Sid's tower!
July 4, 201312 yr this is the definition of reading too much into things but... Donald and Goofy knew about the events of bbs and how the safety of the keyblade wielders is now linked to sora's destiny. but because sora was about to go on a dangerous adventure of his own it would be to much to dump all of that on his little mind too. So they made a deal with mickey not to tell or let on anything that might lead to unveil the identity or details of the events of 12 years ago. So donald and goofy let on that they had not worked at the mysterious tower to avoid a possible reveal of the events of bbs. keep things simple avoid a horrible accident LOL Edited July 4, 201312 yr by EternalReckoning
July 10, 201312 yr Why didn't Donald and Goofy recognize Yen Sid's tower when they went? After all, they had been there before in BBS and they knew about Yen Sid and how he taught the king. So, why didn't they recognize his very unique tower? :P Let's just pretend that their memories weren't working perfectly after COM.
July 13, 201312 yr I think the tower just changed a lot. It's owned by a wizaed after all Edited July 13, 201312 yr by ZOBLIVION
July 15, 201312 yr When they decided to go to sleep in Castle Oblivion. Thats probably why they dont remember Yen Sid living there.
July 16, 201312 yr Maybe they just wanted to keep it a surprise for Sora, or they were too distracted by Pete to realize where they were?

So, why didn't they recognize his very unique tower? :P They also said the King is the one that banished Pete. Lol.The only solution I came up with when I thought about it was that since Donald and Goofy went into sleep along with Sora, they simply forgot. It's not good, but it seems somewhat logical That or their memories weren't pieced back correctly.
July 17, 201312 yr I thought the exact same thing! They acted like they had never met Yen Sid, they were like "WOOOAH! YEN SID'S TOWER!".
