Is destiny island and twilight town in the same world?

Just a thought I had, we know twilight town may have a beach, so is that beach connected to the island in some way, or is twilight town is a boat ride away? Across the DI island ocean?

    Every world with a beach is automatically connected somehow?  The worlds supposedly share the same sky, but Destiny Islands and Twilight Town have otherwise no established or implied connection.

    Ahh ok, I always thought that DI was between the between realm and the realm of darkness having both day and night so yea.....

    This exactly . TT is an inbetween world . DI is in the realm of light. Two separate worlds.
