I see that KH13 didn't saw this info. So the french video game site "jeuxvideo.com" interviewed Tetsuya Nomura when he was at the Japan Expo last month. The interview was posted on 11-07-13 and can be seen here:

The fans of the saga have waited so long before the announcement of Kingdom Hearts 3. Why so did you waited so long? Were you waiting for the arrival of the next-gen to announce Kingdom Hearts 3?

 

Tetsuya Nomura: It's not really the announcement of the new consoles that I was waiting for to announce Kingdom Hearts 3. It's something else, that I can't talk about it now but it's really important for the development of the game. We first considered a release on PS3 and we were ready to announce the game.

But a few months later, Sony and Microsoft announced the next-gen. So we told ourself it would be better if to develop the project on these consoles.

So yeah. The rest of the interview is about the worlds (he still doesn't want to talk about it) and gameplay and KH1.5 ReMIX. Info we already know.

HEY! I speak french too! And this makes me kind of mad! Now I have to buy a PS4 while the only reason I bought my PS3 was to play KH3...

This is what pisses me off. If it wasn't for Infamous SS and FF XV being on PS4 aswell as KH3, i would be even more mad, but at least i know 3 amazing games will be on there, so im gonna try my hardest to buy it.

I see no problem with getting a better version of KH3.

 

PS4 is better than PS3. Which means the games on PS4 will be better than if they were on PS3.

I see no problem with getting a better version of KH3.

 

PS4 is better than PS3. Which means the games on PS4 will be better than if they were on PS3.

Nomura was really scumbag about it. He really let us thought kh3 would come out for the Ps3..

 

And the top of the iceberg.. Kh 1.5 (+ 2.5 ? ) comes for the ps3 and not ps4. He could be better come the Remaster games to the ps4 too or kh3 to the ps3 too.

 

Not that i have a problem with it, I got a ps3 and was already planned to buy the ps4

You guys are saying like the PS3 is bad. Don't forget the PS3 got awesome exclusives.

The only thing that the PS4 is better is about the shader effect. For the rest it just looks better ps3 games that comes in the future.

 

Also think about this why buying a new PS4 if you can buy alot of new games on PS3.

honestly i see no problem. while I'm sure PS3 owners will be upset using the capabilities of the PS4 gives them so much more freedom to work with in terms of designing the levels and worlds. let's not forget how limited the amount of RAM the PS3 has is, with PS4 we now have potential of truely massive worlds and towns with tons of interesting and unique NPCs to fill them. hell we could get a game where you only need to load a world once and than it's completely open with no separate sections where the screen fades to black.

 

as long as they use the capabilities of PS4 and XBOX1 i have no problem with it.

Hey I'm not saying I'm mad it's on the PS4! I know it's gonna be much better on that console and it's going to be awesome!! I'm saying I'm mad I bought a PS3 for nothing (well not really for nothing... I had a lot of fun playing my PS3 games )

Not that it makes it any less infuriating for you but the game will also be out on the Xbox One, and you also still require a ps3 for kh: Re:Mix remember? Either way though, the system hasnt come out and I'm still stuck on a ps2 myself, so I've been very skeptical about upgrading to a ps3 but the ps2, mine anyways, is becoming picky about disks so I'm forced to upgrade to a ps3. Anyways, as long as the ps4 allows playing and saving older games (still havent heard anything officially confirming that they are making it allow that), its not so bad. I know you're frustrated about it, I thought it'd be on the ps3 too which was why I wanted one so bad. But it wont be. So you can either keep complaining and being mad, or let it go.  And besides, we've waited this long right? We can wait a bit longer.

I mean KH 1.5 Remix is just upscaled

 

And there's HD Games out there which look terrible despite them being in a High Resolution...Resolution doesn't mean that much...Bitrate matter far more than Resolution...and let's not mention Textures,Shadowing,Brightness etc.

HD DOES mean better picture quality. There's a HUGE difference, if you haven't noticed, especially if comparing a PS2 game's native resolution of 512x448 to 1920x1080 or beyond. KH1.5 is not just upscaled; many textures were replaced also.

1.Meh it was mostly upscaled...and the replaced/new textures were upscaled too to fit with the rest of the game

2.No it doesn't...an "SD" Video can look better than and "HD" Video if it has higher bitrate...provided it is played in an SDTV of course.It's not all about the Resolution...I can record myself in a video and upscale it...it won't look better cuz the res is higher.People seem to think that "The Higher the Res=The better the Picture Quality" that's simply not true...there's alot more factors that play into this rather then just resolution

3.I hate the term "HD" most people don't know specifics about Video.I mean I was one of these people...I used to think HD is "Holy Shit Amazing"...but really now I realize it was nothing more than a Novelty and now I'm not that amazed by it

 

And IMO playing KH1 on PS2 on a small SDTV(About 24 inch or so)=Playing KH1 on a HDTV on PS3

The picture quality is pretty much the same(except for maybe the CGI cutscenes)
