I don't know what you're talking about, I think he's hilarious, and what makes you think he doesn't put a lot of work into his videos. I'm no genius, but I would assume getting #1 most subscribed takes a lot of work. Plus, he makes good use of what he has. He's used his channel to help multiple charities, so... So actually, until rather recently, I hated PewDiePie. Rape jokes are gross and by default that makes him a disgusting human being. 

 

I've never actually watched anything he's ever made because I'm not into his sense of humor, but here's why I actually don't hate him: so obviously his sexist/racist/homophobic/awful jokes upset people, so instead of defending his rude comments like most people would, he removed a lot of videos containing the offensive material and posted an apology video. That takes a lot of guts, and he completely owned up to his mistake. 

 

In addition to him donating money to charity too, I know a lot of people who think his editing skills are excellent. You might not personally find his videos funny (which is fine) but he doesn't seem like a bad guy at all, and I don't think he deserves hate after he admitted to and corrected his mistakes. Fact is, not everyone can be YouTube famous, and the fact that he is does prove that people like him, regardless of whether you do or not.

It doesnt take alot of work......at all,Im not talking about just him though,almost all LP channels take the least amount of effort to make videos,what a majority of them do is just usually record themselves playing,the occasional edits,and bam,done.As for ones that talk while they play,they usually record them talking with the video and edit,either that or do it all live.Gaming channels as a whole dont take alot of effort at all,just hope to god your likable and funny,then bam,your done.As for the charities he does,yeah hes a great guy for doing so,but most people that diss on Pewdiepies fame say that they follow these LPers who do the same thing,Pewdie isnt really special for doing that kind of thing.Granted Im not dissing him for doing so.

I find him funny and enjoy watching his videos. He made me laugh when I wasn't having the best of days and got me into doing LP videos ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Can you please stop with the whole"If you dont like him and what he does you do better," or "At least hes better then you," kind of argument,It sounds completely irrelevant to the topic at hand and it makes you sound as if you cant really contribute to the conversation at all,I dont know you very well but I do hope you dont have a tendency to do stuff like that cause it never really adds anything to the topic,in this case,his opinion on Pewdiepie.

That's basically implying he puts no effort into what he does though, and it sounds like he works hard to play a wide variety of games and edit nice-looking videos. He gets fame and money because people like him. They think he's funny. He's doing something he enjoys and making a ton of people happy. He does legit try (I mean, let's be fair, you don't get famous for doing nothing) and it's sad that other people's videos don't get the credit they deserve, but not everyone can be famous, and life isn't fair.

I agree with Think Pink, he works hard and he doesn't do LP's to be professional about it, he does it to be comedic.  The reason he's thriving so much on YouTube is because he acquired fans from his local area, Switzerland, then moved to England which further increased his fanbase since now his YouTube videos were reaching more people.  The way YouTube works, your videos are featured around your local area (country) and USA, since that's where the majority of people who use YouTube are.  It's much easier to get videos shared going into USA than vice versa.  Since he's been around the place, he's getting viewers all around.  Whether he intended this or not, it was a smart decision and because of which he's getting subscribers and viewers from all over the place.  

 

Not to mention, the quality of his videos are quite well done.

I admit I used to dislike him also, but after watching a good amount of his videos and finding these facts out, I actually respected the dude.  He's living the dream while being humble about it.  He deserves all the recognition.  And I know some other people may deserve just as much, but knocking someone else down won't solve that problem.

Well isn't that just life in general? Like how there's some really good singers out there, for example, and they usually never get recognized for some odd reasons. And he does actually try when it comes to making his videos. I don't understand myself how the hell he has so many subscribers but is there really anything we can do about it?
