Hai. I thought of something interesting. I didn't find a topic about this, so here I am to ask it.

 

When Birth By Sleep came there were no capes on their armor. They were seen everywhere else, on the trailers, and even the Terra boss. The reason for their absence was because of the Mirage Arena.

 

But considering the fact this remake is coming. Do you think the capes will finally come for the Birth by Sleep final mix? I mean, I think the PS3 is powerful enough to handle it.

I think they should put the capes on. Plus they look better with them on anyways...

I didn't really care about the capes. They may decide to since the hardware won't be limiting them anymore or they'll not bother wasting the resources and time.

Actually, the capes were removed due to hardware limitations. And because Edna Mode insisted.

 

 

I don't think they'll add them, and besides, I got used to TVA not having capes, so giving them capes would actually take some time to get used to

Maybe the capes are the reason we haven't heard anything new about the game since December...

God, I hope so! Those things were freaking epic!! That would make the boss battles so much more bad-ass! Please add them Square!!

IIRC, those models show them without their armor don't they? And since in the early trailers they were in their armor all the time they could still add them.

the whole Edna Mode thing is a joke. Only the hardware limitations are to blame.

There are armored cards too, and they don't have capes. And frankly, have you seen how many things they have been inconsistent with? Minnie, not Mickey, banished Pete; the Keyblade of People's Hearts first is the only one that can unlock hearts, then every Keyblade can; Timeless River is technically impossible, etc. Lingering Will having or not a cape is a very minor inconsistency.

In DDD, Sora's heart was not locked away, it was sleeping Riku merely awakened it. And as for Timeless River, well theres always that "special case" cop out.

No, it wasn't. I can try to dig out the Japanese quote (which would take some time), but someone in KHInsider already put the Japanese quote, and it does say that the King banished him. There's even the word "king" in the dialogue, I don't know how the "gender neutral pronouns" rumor started.

 

About the heart thing, I could have mistaken for something else. About the Timeless River, no, Xehanort explicitly says "time is immovable" and "these facts can't be changed". He flat out says changing the past is impossible under any condition whatsover.

Well than Timless River actually makes even more sense. Pete tried to change the past and failed because of Sora.

Didn't he change the past for a small amount of time? Plus, that still doesn't explain why Sora didn't lose his memories after coming back, nor how he could go there without being there before.

Literally nothing was changed OR altered in Timeless River. I don't even know why you thought that.

 

And the memories thing seems to hold true only if you physically move through time using powers of your own. Sora went through a portal, so that's a HUGE difference right there.

 

And you're also forgetting the fact that you need a copy of yourself waiting at the destination, and you can't even bring your body, and that couldn't have been possible with Sora, but as I say again: It's a special portal. It can do epic sh*t.

The December trailer had Ventus in armour for a split second, he didn't have a cape.

I'm not really a big cape guy myself, but if its possible, I say go for it. What's the harm? It's been proven anyway that capes = badass when the time calls for it. Look at Batman, Superman, etc.
