HOW am I?

If i hear nothing but the bad in the world over the internet, surely that word's to blame.

Its best just no longer in our language, if you ask me. I might just start a riot over it....

Because this thread makes no sense, whatsoever

It makes perfect sense :(

What about the word dawn? The dawn is the beginning of any day, and with new beginnings come new crimes and bad things to be done. Mean things to be posted. We should just forget the word dawn too.

Or you can try to calm down, and realize that there are a lot of bad things in the world, and most words are actually rather neutral depending on your point of few. I think you should take the things into perspective and consider if a single word is really a bad thing.

Ummm, you're taking things a little bit out of contest here

"guys" is just a word referring to a group of people, female or males.

You're overananalzing too much, little things like these should never be a thing you worry about

Worrying about every little thing around will just hurt you and you won't accomplish anything of it but unnecessary pain that you didn't need to concern yourself about.

The word "guys" isn't bad.Calm down

This over analyzation will hurt your psychology the more you delve into it

Does it really?

Yes.

Tell me this; what things do 'men' tend to like?

Guns, blood, people dying?...stuff like that.

Glorifying a gender who's role is to prefer THOSE things. Yes, we'll defenetly have WORLD PEACE that way /sarcasum

Why are people even bothering taking this guy (hurr) seriously?

I don't see this as being too big of an issue. Yes, the fact that a group is referred to as "guys" if there's even a single male in the group is annoying, but this is not the issue to take a stand on. Women are facing much more pressing issues (in America alone we face murder/assaults/etc simply for being female, and still can't serve in combat positions in the military. In other countries, female babies are killed and women can't drive and stuff.) So yeah, it's bothersome and it's a flaw of language, but we have much, much better things to be worrying about.

edit: btw, I'm going to assume you call yourself feminist? But this is not what feminism is supposed to be. By saying men are naturally violent and vengeful is not only pointless hatred, it's also basically reinforcing everything the patriarchy teaches.

Alright, you heard 'em, gals, stop using that terrible term.

this was pointless, nobody's going to stop saying "guys"right, guys?on a serious note, that's really stupid. It's not in any way glorifying men over women at all. It's more of a universal term to address a group of people, in fact, I've even heard my sister call her female friends "guys." nobody's going to stop using it because you don't like it; it's a universal term and it's going to stay that way, so I advise that you deal with it

Like others said, your over analyzing this.

Take a nice rest, you seem stressed.

Ummm, you aren't seriously expecting a world only made of females right?

I'm a male,I don't like blood,I don't like guns ....just stop the overanalysis before it kills you

The word isn't gonna be removed from the dictionary anytime soon, you're hurting yourself for literally NO REASON

Gender stereo types...*sigh* But anyways. One person chat messaged me this;

There are a lot of guys into girly stuff, and a lot of girls into these terrible things. Men are "glorified" due to the fact that they are naturally stronger and that was proven early in humanity. This strength became a defining feature to that gender. However, men are known for other things. Gentlemen are supposed to be gentle. There was once a code of chivalry where the ideal man was expected to be gentle and kind, especially to women. You know what I mean? Men aren't all bad.

...theres still riku; uses darkness to HELP people, sweet guy...

I may concider being hospitalized to help with this issue if its nessasary tho :( its pretty deep seated...

And, yes, i have a lot of anger inside. And bad expiences with my dad too...

Yes.

Dawnstar you are being sexist, offensive and generalizing. MANY WOMEN LOVE guns, blood, and people dying. People like it in fictional settings. You act as though all women have to be girly. Well ,sorry dawnstar but no. You're sterotyping and saying everyone should follow gender roles. =_=

Gender roles aren't true. It's a stereotype itself. Anyone can like anything they want. You act as though tomboys and punks don't exist.

I for one, love ''boy things''

There's no such thing as ''things for boy and things for girls.''  That's just crap society puts out.

Exactly this. Me and my friends use this all the time and we are women. At least in a body sense but thats another debate.  It has now become a casual term to mean a group of people such as your friends. It doesn't specify gender at all.

he is getting work up over the word guys, wow that is so stupid and childish.  this post needs to be locked and he should get report
