So I know there's been an "official answer" about that but it just doesn't make sense! So basically, there's this big KH plot hole in the series. DO NOBODIES AGE?! Nomura said no, but Zexion and Naminé clearly aged while they were nobodies. While Naminé can get away with saying that it's because she's a "special nobody" there's no explanation to why Zexion aged. Some people say it's because Zexion had grown into the man he is now when he became a nobody but according to the KH storyline, this can't be true since Xehanort and the other pupils started experimenting on the heart around a year after BBS (since that's when Radiant Garden fell into darkness) and around that time, they became nobodies. You can clearly see in this KH3D scene that Zexion was still a kid when he turned into a nobody, so why did he age?

I think the answer is that Nomura said nobodies didn't age because at that time we didn't know they could grow hearts. I think that any being with a heart can age but a being without a heart can't. It's the only logical explanation to me. That would explain why Ventus didn't age since BBS, because he doesn't have his heart. But if that's not the reason, then the only answer is: NOMURA-LOGIC.

Nomura already confirmed you cannot age without a heart so yes that explains Ven . As for the others like Zexion  yes one could say he started growing a heart so he could also grow physically . But to keep it real, we all know Nomura retcons shit and it's most likely a plothole.

It's kinds cool how they put a reason behind that.  It seemed to me they were just using the same model.

I always assumed that Ventus doesn't age because his mind is completely dormant along with his heart. He's not one of the super-powerful Nobodies like Org. XIII. He's just a boy who lost his heart and managed to harbor it inside of Sora's. The members of Org. XIII are all 'special Nobodies' technically, since their hearts were so powerful, that instead of turning into monsters, their bodies and memories remained the same. They technically shouldn't even exist at all in that form without hearts, so who's to say they can't age, as well?

In my opinion, I think that because they're not 'normal Nobodies', they're much closer to their original human side and thus can age like normal humans. My policy on stuff like this is that if you can explain it in a way that makes sense, it's no longer a plot hole. They just didn't write an explanation. REAL plot holes are stuff that makes no sense whatsoever no matter how you look at it.

I'm sure it can be explained by time travel+Xehanort, just like everything in the series now

So...when Ienzo got his body back and heart, he just instantly aged or is he still a teenager/adult?

I guess it could be taken as a cool piece of foreshadowing if anything

Fool. I think it took much longer for them to be turned into Nobodies after they started their research.

So why haven't Aqua and Terra looked like they haven't aged? I think they both have hearts (someone else's in the latter's case, but a heart nonetheless). Could anybody solve that conundrum?

Peace!

Did you watch the KH3D cutscene? Anyway Flaming Lea answered my question.

Nomura confirmed that time moves differently in the RoD so that explains Aqua . As for Terra, I think as AX and Xemnas he does look like he aged a bit . He looks more 'matured' but that could also be due to having Xehanort's attributes added to him as well.

LOL I'd say he look like he aged more than a bit as AX and Xemnas, his body should be around 30 xD

That was not Zexion in the video. It was Ienzo. & Don't get me started on Nami'ne

simple, senju-DN- oh wait, wrong series Full of plotholes
