October 15, 201411 yr I honestly don't think it matters very much. He is a master in his own right. Edited October 15, 201411 yr by Squirting Demyx
October 15, 201411 yr Nomura wants Sora to pass off as a normal boy, right? Normal boys are no masters. My true opinion: By the next saga he should be one.
October 15, 201411 yr I don't think he's going to become one. But maybe KH3 will end with him deciding to retake the exam.
October 15, 201411 yr maybe after he safe for the 3th time the worlds or at the begin of the next saga....or never....
October 15, 201411 yr Never, something bad always happens to masters....well shit. In all seriousness, next saga
October 15, 201411 yr Normal wieder < keyblade master < sora Nomura wants keep sora a normal guy and I approve that. But I want Riku to have a student in next saga.
October 15, 201411 yr Normal wieder < keyblade master < sora Nomura wants keep sora a normal guy and I approve that. But I want Riku to have a student in next saga. Riku can teach Lea.
October 15, 201411 yr Riku can teach Lea. Nah. a new character would be welcome. Edited October 15, 201411 yr by Sakuraba Neku
October 15, 201411 yr Sora is a Master to us, but not officially. I believe he will become a real Master after the KH3 battle.
October 15, 201411 yr I don't know. There's barely any information about KHIII so it's not exactly like we have enough evidence to really pinpoint when that would happen. My best guess would be either at the end of KHIII or sometime afterward.
October 15, 201411 yr Nomura wants Sora to pass off as a normal boy, right? Normal boys are no masters. My true opinion: By the next saga he should be one. Tell that to Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple
October 15, 201411 yr Tell that to Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple My name is Kenichi, and that wasn't my true opinion, refer to what I said was my true opinion, your comment is invalid.
October 15, 201411 yr To quote an interview, Looks like Kairi might but Sora won't, I hope he will, but... Kairi, will she and Sora ever achieve the Mark of Mastery? Nomura : I thought a lot about whether Sora was to become Keyblade Master or not. But because I always wanted Sora to relate to the players, if he became a Master, it would have meant he would have really reached a very high level and is not yet ready for it, and we do not want that to happen. The decision to not make Sora a Keyblade Master was not really difficult, but I thought it was better that he remains an ordinary boy to be closer to the players. About Kairi, we really considered the question but we can not say anything about it yet. of course, there is the matter of the other Keyblade Bearer at the end of Kingdom Hearts 3D. Unfortunately we are not allowed to disclose the details of this character presently. Edited October 15, 201411 yr by KittensOnFire
October 15, 201411 yr Opinions. Does it really matter at this point? The Master rank is about as important as Chunin and Junin ranks in the Naruto series....which is not important at all at this point in the series the only real thing you get from being a master is Ahaving your own apprentice and BGet a castle And there are alternate methods to get the unlocking hearts ability Not to mention that all masters at this point in the series were pretty much the definition of the word incompetence
October 15, 201411 yr The Master rank is about as important as Chunin and Junin ranks in the Naruto series....which is not important at all at this point in the series First off, it's Jonin, not Junin. Second, wrong. Thirdly: Sora becoming a Keyblade Master, at this point, is sort of a mixed bag. I mean, he had the chance to become one in DDD, but it didn't happen. Also, you have to factor in Nomura's mindset in making Sora the "normal, everyday kid" even going further into the series where, at this point, he's anything but normal or everyday. Still, if he does become a Master, I think it would make sense to do so either at the end of the Xehanort Saga, where he proves himself by defeating Xehanort and saving the worlds from eternal darkness, or if you really want to push it, wait until he's a littler older in the next saga, whenever that may be or however that might turn out.
October 15, 201411 yr When Sora grows a pair and kisses Kairi On topic: most likely by the end of KH3 or at the beginning of the next KH saga.

Mind you Naruto is still a Genin in terms of rank yet he's so far the strongest Ninja alongside Sasuke while their Jonin masters are falling extremely behind unless you're a Kage. And when I said it didn't matter I meant in terms of conflict not character development. Also I still call bullshit on Nomura still trying to convince us that Sora is a normal boy after all of this shit....Yeah the dude can have over three hearts inside him at the same time(his own,Kairi's,Ventus's) can connect to Kingdom Hearts the source of all light and dark powers......Yyyeah tooootally Normal I don't get Nomura's logic how a non-normal character is unrelatable

Also, I agree with you. The whole mindset kinda bugs me. Sora hasn't really been normal since Chain Of Memories really. Plus there's also the fact that in every canon game after KHII, it seems like Nomura has tried hard to keep Sora in his younger fourteen year old form rather than his older fifteen form. Thankfully, he won't be able to hide behind that in KHIII... hopefully.

But we all know that by saving the worlds many times already makes him an honorary one by right . Title means little when experience trumps all

Dude he hasn't been normal since the first game This kinda gives the vibe that Nomura is trying to tell his audience to not relate to anyone with upnormal characteristics or Super powers..........it feels like Nomura only watch glimpses of Shonen animes but never attempt to understand how they work

After KHI and going into Chain Of Memories, Sora became abnormal, what with the castle and the cards and the people in black coats and whatnot. But I can see that. And again, I don't see too many ways that Nomura can keep Sora young in III. I think it's time for Sora to grow up a little, and stop being the "young, everyday kid" to the strong willed fighter we all know he has to be.
Opinions.
